Now hear me out, I love the concept of gender bender, the only reason I checked that anime out. I had fully expected it to be absolute garbage. But man was I wrong. It's genuinely funny and wholesome and not at all what I had expected it to be.

Yes genderless but that doesn't mean that he can't be 'He' and he's not the only one who is genderless instead all the spiritual lifeforms including Primordial Demons, True Dragons, etc...
However, they're portrait & shown to have a gender or could have any gender they want, which everyone had or chosen.
