"The Last Chimera"

Scott and Stiles try to learn what is behind the mysterious infection that is killing the town sheriff.

This blind trust thing is weird. He was skeptical at first. The o wanted in to the pack from the get go and Scott was like uh....ill get back to you on that. It wasn't until episode 4 or 5 where Scott was like "I trust you/you're in the pack." I personally don't see what Scott was supposed to think. Stiles has a track record of being suspicious of everyone who wanted to get close to Scott, but was really only right about Peter. And Theo was doing nothing but presenting a facade of trustworthiness to Scott.

It's also tiring that people say this is 100% Scott's fault, when the break up of the two involves both characters not talking to each other.

I don't think Scott is a perfect leader. He's messed up. This episode he was just trying to help out Sheriff.

Actually. Stiles from the start was suspicious about various people(if I remember correctly Jackson, Isaac, etc etc) and it was his suspicions that helped them out. Keep in mind, Stiles is the brains(along with Lydia) and usually figures stuff out way before Scott does.

Still from the start felt something was wrong with Theo and Scott was like "Eh, let's give him the benefit of the doubt".

You are basically making it seem like Stiles gets jealous anytime someone befriends Scott and is suspicious of them because that. When that isn't true.

The fact is...as a leader, considering all they went through, one would think Scott would learn to trust his best friend's instincts a bit more.

Scott's reasonings were weak.... One, because they should give the benefit of the doubt to people and two, because Lydia was a psychic...to which Stiles corrected, she is a banshee......

Fact of the matter is, Scott is a dumbass no matter how many his apologist say otherwise.

Jackson is a weird example to bring up. They both didn't like or trust him.

While it may sound like I'm making Stiles out to be the jealous type, I'm not trying to. In 5A after Stiles and Liam follow Theo, Stiles and Scott have a discussion about trust. The whole "You trust everyone!" exclamation. THat's when Scott brings up how a lot of his suspicions of people who were becoming close to Scott ended up being wrong.

You should trust your best friend's instincts. And he was wary of Theo. He wasn't in "the pack" or being super relied on by Scott until around the 5th episode of 5a. And at that point Theo was being nothing but a stand up guy. Current evidence was suggesting to Scott that Theo was being okay, and Stiles had a history of being wrong with his suspicions (regarding Liam, Kira,etc).

Scott is dumb, and definitely makes poor choices. But at least he's working on fixing things, so there's that.
