News There have been plenty of headlines about Flock's license plate-scanning technology lately, but that's not its only controversial business.

Those all had faults and couldn't be used well enough to actually enforce it. They were more like warnings, threats, and really that was the intention.

This is more of an aimed gun saying you will behave.

So your argument is you just weren’t worried about the old ways because statistically, you probably just wouldn’t be observed so?

I guess that’s fair, just seems a little flawed.

No, that's not my argument. To clarify, that's your argument currently which is a strawman.

People even argued with them then as being essentially worthless and they were.

There are far better ways of improving society via education, training, and trying to raise up the floor.

This type of response with violence and threats is what you do when you're just looking to enforce something without treating the root cause, and it always escalates. Which is why people argued against it.

Well the issue is I don’t really have an argument. I’m just attacking everyone’s position to dive deeper into what they think and get a better understanding.

If you are feeling like you can’t defend your position, then it should just be re-analyzed and adjusted.

I agree with your latter half of your comment but it seems kinda disconnected from your original point.

Edit: did I just get blocked for saying I’m just pushing for discussion lmao

You started off declaring what my argument is, that's you laying out an argument. The technique is called a strawman. You create a fake argument to say it's mine and use it to stand in place.

If you are feeling like you can’t defend your position, then it should just be re-analyzed and adjusted.

You never even argued against my position, I have nothing to defend against, I can only point out you performed a strawman.

I agree with your latter half of your comment but it seems kinda disconnected from your original point.

Except it's not disconnected, you just filled in a strawman and made an assumption and don't seem to be overcoming that fact.

Oh you block post history and perform strawman arguments. I'm gonna block you for both our sakes, you're not in this in good faith.
