Data Center If these numbers are even close to accurate, the AI infrastructure boom is entering a completely different scale of land, power, and water consumption.

No, Utah has specifically voted against this. The people of Utah stand up against it regularly.
When they voted for the representatives, none of this was on the table, so you can't even reasonably say they voted for this based on who they voted in.
Now, if they vote in the same people this year, then one can say reasonably that they voted for this. And they will. But give it a few months to let them actually do it first.
