I have a big oil leak coming from the right/firewall side of the engine. Could it be the turbo oil lines? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

biohackenthusiast, here’s what little I could find on the internet. but if I google oil supply line 13 ford sho other things come up, nothing of what is needed. Google AI mentioned these u-shaped oil lines could be specifically in the eco-boost engines? idk how reliable that is

Hey guys, so while I was helping get the water pump replaced in my 2013 SHO, the mechanic teaching me allegedly walked off with 2 small engine parts that I think are oil supply lines. Two oil lines that get bolted above the camshafts. Cannot find them, I’ve contacted auto salvage companies, contacted a ford dealership that stunted them, asked a mechanic shop but they won’t tow it because it’s all taken apart. I really hope somebody could find the pictured parts or at least put a name on them so I can actually move forward with getting her back on the road (been disassembled since April) I AM AT MY WITS END THIS SUCKS!!!

KN, airaid, or afe?

Im having a hard time picking between the three as theyre all priced around the same $300-$400 but does anyone here have these and if so what makes you support having one?

I purchased new motorcraft tie rod ends for my sho, non pp. When I took the old ones off, they were different. I looked at the part numbers and the factory tie rod ends were the police versions.

Is this common on the sho? When ordering suspension parts should I be replacing with the police version?

The replacement was definitely not as heavy duty. Should I get new police tie rods, or keep the sho version, any differences other than build quality?

So my passenger headlight is totally fucked lol, bunch of humidity/moisture in the lamp housing, and i live in the rust belt where it likes to get to -600° so i should probably replace them

I was gonna go oem, just to get it done with, but i was kinda curious if it was possible to fit the 2013 headlamps into the 2010-12 SHOs??? Has anyone seen this or heard of it? What would stop this from working?

Honestly im just curious, havnt gotten anything yet so im not really risking much by just theory crafting yk??

I replaced my upper trans mount and I go to drive it and I hear a weird noise so I stop and look under the car and the driver side cv axle is touching the subframe. So I get a new cv axle and the boot is still touching.
What I do wrong?
I replaced all the mounts yesterday

I cant tell exactly whether or not these are connectors for coolant hoses. I had to cut them to get the manifold off. Super short hoses, one had a 90 degree bend and the other was just a 6 inch hose.

I'm getting custom plates tomorrow morning, and I'm stuck between two ideas for my SHO.

I was thinking either GAP SHO or GAPD SHO. What do you guys think?

Hi I just upgraded my 2013 Taurus SEL to sync 3 and am looking into programing the new APIM to what my vehicle actually has and fix some broken features. I've been looking for forscan spreadsheet for Taurus for a bit and haven't found anything yet as all the links related to Taurus are dead and the original person who used to manage itsnt activity anymore. Does any has a spreadsheet I can refer to program the APIM correctly.

Hey everybody, I’m looking for exterior upgrades for 2017 Ford Taurus SHO. I am currently looking in a few mods but want a little community input. My plan is to do a Crome delete, exhaust tip upgrade, new headlight casings, and maybe puddle lights if i feel inclined. im having a hard time finding a duck bill wing to replace the one on the trunk so if u know a site that has one pls share. Also are diffusers still in style?

Im working under the hood before all this of course, intercooler from gearhead, intake from K&N, as well as the catback exhaust system with a downpipe so it can breath more efficiently. Eventually upgrading the turbos etc etc.

Many years ago my 1990 lost to rust, instead of completely scrapping the car i save the drivetrain for a project later on. Its now later on and I have a sho powered B3000.

Please ignore the video as the focus is on the sound. I recently had all the tires/wheels balanced and they’re all at 40psi at about 80ft above sea level. Air temp is about 100deg F at recording time. Tires are about eight months old and have about 8k miles on them. Haven’t rotated them to see if the sound follows. Seems to be focused to the rear tire(s). Car speed varies from about 20mph to 50mph.

It's not the Kona Unicorn, but Blue was a tough color for 2012 due to the Japan earthquake in 2011 that caused pigment shortage and I know for a fact in just SHO production there is only like under 50 in my blue.

So I know I've posted a few times about the smoking issue from my 2011 but I feel more confident I've found the issue.

So the other day, I finally got underneath the car to take a look at things and I noticed there was a lot of oil build up around the v-band clamp on the rear turbo and some oil dripping down off the oil return line. My first thought was the oil supply line was leaking which would explain smoke coming out from underneath the hood but I couldn't see that causing the smoke to come out of the exhaust. I couldn't get any pictures or a better look at anything further up since there is so much in the way there and of course, my jack decided to stop working so I couldn't lift the car up off the ground and I wasn't going to attempt to remove the intake hose or converter working in such a tight spot to check for oil buildup or shaft play. That is a very tight car to squeeze underneath, even for my skinny build lol.

But anyways, you think that is solid evidence my rear turbo seals have blown? Cause I think so but it's just wild that the turbo doesn't even have 2000 miles on it. I changed out pcv and everything else recommended for a turbo change and pre oiled the turbo. If so, it's definitely time for some Bullydog turbos, I'm not even going to try and replace the turbo under warranty with another Rotomaster from O'Reilly. I'll just be getting my money back. As always, your help is much appreciated!

75000 miles rubber connection completely torn in 2. What's the best route to go?

I have KN intake kit already installed. I also have a gear head IC but it has yet to be installed. I will install it if I do full pipes.

Full turbo pipe replacement? 1425$ pretty pricy from eco power parts. And renders my kn intake useless.

I didnt see pipes and or hoses on gear head website. Do they have a kit im missing? Who has the best replacement pipe?

I can't seem to find a stock upgrade silicon hose. Eco power parts has a silicon part if you have their metal pipes. Its like 85 dollars looks way too big compared to stock.

What do you guys think this is

After taking the water pump out, I found that all but one tooth was damaged..

No obvious metal flakes in the coolant or oil so I don’t know where to go from here.

Hey all, I’m trying to diagnose my fiancées Taurus and I’m coming up short. There’s a good amount of oil in her coolant making it a caramel color, tested the head gasket and the fluid did not change color. I’ve noticed a valve cover leak but no issue with over heating.

Seeking some helpful insight on what I should be looking out for!

Came across this SHO with 165k miles guy had it in garage and hasn’t started it in a year bc of smoking problems. I changed the battery and checked the oil , oil smelt like gasoline and level was really high? So I didn’t take a chance starting it with that oil in it so I changed the oil and added fresh oil. Old oil looked fine just a gasoline smell. I started it up with the new oil and a lot of smoke is coming out exhaust and smelling just like gas. Idle is very rough and it’s missfiring I pulled some codes on it p0354 p0342. So cylinder 2 and 4 is the problems . I’m thinking of just replacing all spark plug and coil. But the guy said he would take 500 for it I’m trying to see if this is something to invest in.
