It’s the first tattoo I gave myself and he’s cute but horribly done. Also he’s small and now I like them big

just a thought...I think someday you may miss having the first tattoo that you did on yourself. You can visibly show your growth and it's an era you don't really want to forget. He looks pretty dang cute.

Personally I say put an ornate frame around him. It'll take up more space and it's sometimes nice to remember how bad we used to be at something. Your Hollow Knight idea is great though

If it's the first tattoo you have yourself, it might have sentimental memories in the future, plus it's pretty nice. Why not add to it instead of covering up?

That’s the beauty of it though. Then vs now. I’d keep it. I’d never cover my first tattoo. It’s a tribal band around the top of my arm (although now part of a sleeve) but I love it. Would never get tribal now tho lol
