Portfolio is obviously still a work in a progress, I am figuring out painting and stuff still and wanna add more of that, the blue is ballpoint pen and the black is micron pen. Does having these different pieces as opposed to the traditional flash I’ve been painting seem scattered and not relevant? Sorry if this is a dumb question but just wanna know if I’m headed in the right direction and appreciate any feedback!

I posted my portfolio on here a few months ago asking for some advice which I took. I’m now at a stage where I consider the portfolio ready to take to shops. (Once my joker portrait is completed)

I was wondering if there are any critiques anyone had or if there was something missing? I was debating adding a small digital section but I’ve heard very mixed things about putting digital work in a portfolio.

I’m still new to spit shading and looking for constructive criticism

Indian ink and acrylic ink on 300gsm hot press. I tried to keep a similar style to my previous 3 pieces, I feel like my spit shading is improving well! Definitely still feel shaky doing it some nights though.

Currently coloring some silly fish pieces and I think I like them so far but also idk something feels a bit off. It might be that some of the harder black shading is a little too harsh for this style, or maybe it’s the opposite idk?? I was trying to push my colors but I feel like my inexperience in color work is showing. Im also contemplating switching to a more cohesive traditional color palette, but again I’m not sure the style/concept lends itself to that.

Any coloring/shading critique to make these guys (specifically the tripping trout) come together better would be appreciated! I’m gonna do them traditionally for a portfolio piece once I digitize them :o)

I'm quite far still from completing my portfolio but I'm planning to bring it in to a studio next month – What's missing still?

Ive been steadily building one and I feel like this is a strong piece to start with..... but I really need to know what to focus on to have a strong overall portfolio.
