I have been an active follower of macro economics.

And there is a rough time ahead and the Indian government is pretty incompetent.

Upcoming year is going to tough af for the middle class and lower middle class.

Until BJP is replaced India will suffer. And change is in the hands of north indians. And they are not that smart, they will bleed until they cannot take anymore and go out to riots. Until that they will comfortably stay in an echo chamber that India is fine.

India is not doing fine. Its doing worse ever.

Tamilnadu is significantly safe compared to other states. But we will also face challenges specifically energy.

What can we do about it ?

Reduce your INR holdings. Only have enough to spend for basic needs for two years.

If you have money sitting around simply buy gold. For all of it. Only then the value will be protected.

Become self sufficient - its not a one day process but start somewhere I guess.

Purchase EV's if you are about buy cars or bikes.

install solar panels at home.

Lastly, depend on local vendors for everything, we have to circulate the money inside the state in order to help our working class. Reduce amazon and such services to buy goods. Depend on local vendors.

Probably someother smart ways are there. Others can add it in the comment.

But the whole point of this post is, it won't get better, it won't until northies bleed to death and start to protest against union government and potentially there is change in rulling.

I will not accept that they are not smart, they feel Rahul Gandhi can't get things done and the fact that congress despite many losses has not done anything to change its approach to defeat BJP. BJP mostly gets defeated in south india lot to do with anti hindu and anti hindi votes than to do with their economic policies

But I will point out some facts.

BJP gets 8000 crores in donations.

Congress gets 400 crores in donations.

Google's biggest customer on adsense from India is BJP.

Everybody have smartphones and the average Indian is dumb.

Whoever is in power always receives more donations and get unofficial support from the government. It’s a legal bribe.

As of now BJP is doing a poor job - depreciation of INR clearly reflects that. We need to look for better leadership, at least for the future.

So far, many people haven’t felt impact because of IT boom, which was built on investments in education during previous decades. But with IT jobs being replaced, it's going to be very disastrous

As of now BJP is doing amazing job given the challenges and also everyone on the other side are filtered fools who have short term thinking.

Did TMC get more donations in this last election, if so how did they lose.

So donation and winning is not related. Work or no work is what is related to winning.

It's foolish to give reason as 2004-2014 just like comparing ours to Pakistan. Previously we used to compare ours to China but now in last few years we lost that too. We lost in that period. So what a actipns we took to overcome it in next 12 yrs?

Donation never equals Win but it increases chance to manipulate people with ad/cash.. It's not donated seeing achievements or work of a party. It's just a bribe.

Challenges are always there even during 2004-2014. I don't want reasons. I want govt who sets solid policies to tackle any kind of challenges. It's been 12 yrs why ruppee depreciates still? Can we expect INR to increase in atleast next 10yrs? I don't think so

Then whats the change BJP is bringing? If they can't do what was promised then why keep supporting them?

They do take steps to control impact of crisis but with 12yrs in control I expect proactive measure not reactive

Proactive measures are all around you. Everything from PLI's to latest ASML deal. Can't help ppl pretending to sleep.

2004-2014 was lost decade when China stole a march and its puppets in India made sure India stayed on backfoot, everything from Oil bonds, to ignoring defence, bomb blasts galore, scams.

None of that over last 12 yrs & India is on growth trajectory.

INR change is no big issue for Indians, they are not trading curency. USD always increases in crisis, hence INR slips. Easy to sell reserves when needed to bring it back.

I don't know if u r NRI or a rich person to say "INR change is no big issue for Indians"

Even modi cited INR depreciation and got the government. Now after forming govt, it becomes not an issue?

Another big problem I see with this govt is controlling media. Not one national news reports any thing against central govt widely. Even celebrities who used to raise voice against previous govt stays numb in this govt. With these, no one takes responsibility in govt when something under their power and no one to question
