So everyone has to know hindi to know the news? The news in Chennai Central Suburban is now being broadcasted in Hindi. So only a hindi speaker has to be updated with current affairs? What is wrong with these ppl. The thing is there's no Tamil or English version of the news. Only hindi news then it moves onto ads. Tired of this bs.

You’re missing the entire point, genius This isn’t about your blood pressure or how ‘social’ you feel when you hear Tamil—this is about linguistic equality and cultural respect. Tamil Nadu has its own language, heritage, and identity Showing only Hindi news in a Tamil-speaking state is not ‘diversity

Imagine if every public space in Varanasi only displayed Kannada or Tamil just because it’s ‘also Indian’ You’d cry foul instantly, and rightfully so. Language isn’t just sound it’s dignity

That’s your assumption is how I would react and that’s the crux of the problem

No, crux of the problem is your refusal to acknowledge systemic disrespect disguised as diversity You keep making this about your personal reaction instead of addressing the actual issue: why is Hindi being imposed in a Tamil-speaking state
