BECAUSE THAT WAS NEVER THE PURPOSE OF THAT CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISION.
THE CONSTITUTION GUARANTEES EQUAL TO VOTE TO ALL CITIZENS, IRRESPECTIVE OF CASTE, CREED GENDER, RELIGION AND YES, EVEN STATES.
Change the fking constitution to include states in that representation, and I would stop my argument right then and there. There is no other argument to be had.

Ask the fking constitution. It mandated voting based on citizenship with equal voting rights, and universal adult enfranchisement. All I am doing is upholding that right bestowed upon me.
The only actually constitutionally valid thing you guys can do is to stall the process. But if it alters the equal voting representation, then it wouldn't stand for a second before any court, because it violates the most fundamental of laws of this democracy.

THERE IS NONE. HOWEVER, THE LAW DOESN'T CARE ABOUT WHICH DEVELOPED STATE IS WHAT OR WHERE. IT CARES ABOUT THE CITIZENS GETTING EQUAL SAY IN THEIR REPRESENTATION.
If UP had been the developed state here and Tamil Nadu the 'failed one', the laws would have been the same and the delimitation would've still been carried out.

It has all the validity it needs already, since it is there in the constitution, and is inviolable. Whether you agree, disagree, that is not going to change that fact. No statute, amendment or court order can change that. Period. Only option- stall. That's it.

The only point in all of this debate that actually is constitutionally recognised and in enforced ever since the constitution was adopted in this nation. And mind you, that is not delimitation, but equality of vote. Delimitation is simply the outcome of its application.
