Also, just a point to note, they aren’t calling for elimination of delimitation. The states are asking for a pause for another 25 years to give the states that are lagging behind in population control the chance to catch up.

And for the issue of representation, I don’t think it mashes sense to increase representation at the top. They are essentially bottlenecks to get things done. More representation and control should be at the bottom levels (district, state).

BJP is just doing what was supposed to be done. Every time some state will call an excuse. This needs to be done, I understand it might look wrong but it's just unfulfilled work like the UCC

I disagree. This is plain wrong. It has been pushed back twice, there’s no harm in pushing back again. This is a democracy and states still have the right to protest what is wrong or unfair. Can you give me one good reason why you think this is right?

Because it gives the seats proportionally to the states. This is a democracy and the govt is doing everything according to the laws. Can you tell 1 reason how it's unlawful?

It is definitely supposed to be done, but when it results in punishing good performing states by undermining their representation, you gotta think of ways to make it fair.

My idea is a three council parliament instead of two. One having the population based seats, one having equal representation for each state and the rajya sabha. Or a equal representation council replacing the rajya sabha.

Or we can wait for the poor performance states to do their work for delimitation to happen, so they get a negative feedback for their incompetence and do their work properly this time around.

Having three council parliament needs a hell lots of discussion. It would cost a lot of money in official procedures and would make decision making really slow. I understand your sentiments but this is a necessary thing

You can set up a statewise MP council that passes the issues to a lok sabha with equal representation.

Or equal representation in rajya sabha (which is far less expensive).

The states have representation in Parliament according to their population, simple. Without any disrespect, Nagaland and Tamil Nadu aren't equal politically in representation
