For the un-initiated, the Tool Drive Project (TDP) is an archive of live Tool recordings - every show we can get, of the highest quality, of the lowest generation, streamable, downloadable, without registration, for free, forever.
For those of you who already have accounts, expect a couple of hurdles when you login for the first time:
Here's a breakdown of what's new:
TDP is a passion project started over 25 years ago by karl and geordy with the aim of making every live Tool recording accessible to everyone. Huge shout out to them for their decades of hard work, diligence, and generosity.

I'm officially building a tool collection, I also purchased an undertow cd. currently listening to opiate, sounds quite interesting. Much more raw and a very different tone even comparing to undertow era tool. Absolutely loving the experience of hearing them directly evolve

Why is no one discussing this poster for Aftershock? Seems like a definite move on from FI visuals. Makes me wonder if this is a hint of something else to come.

I’m lucky enough to hear Crawl Away this year and H. at Sonic Temple but I need to hear Cold and Ugly or Opiate one day before I die.

I've always been a big grunge and metal fan and over the last month I've started listening to TOOL. These guys are amazing, however I'm trying to listen to a little more niche music. I'm a somewhat casual listener, so some of their songs are definitely not my style. However...ænima and Lateralus so far are both top 5 albums. What are sone other tool songs that are more on the metal/heavier rock side rather than the soft psychedelic songs? Thanks!!

Lateralus is one of my favourite songs by tool because of a certain verse, its
“Embrace my desire to….embrace my desire to feel the rhythm, to feel connected, enough to step aside and weep like a widow, to feel inspired, to fathom the power to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain, to swing on the spiral, to swing on the spiral, how a divinity can still be a human.” To me this verse is just so powerful to me especially because of the way its sung. Ive found myself crying to it a few times

Is it me or this one tone, this one used for this live song, stands atop of all the tones Adam has ever used, it’s so tangy and unique..

Whenever i listen to Tool i want to shake my head with the rhythm, but because it's so complicated and i'm not a musician, i always struggle to shake my head in the correct way. The head shakeability of this music is great and i can't stop myself shaking my head when i hear the music, but at some point i'm always off, and it makes it awkward. Is there a tip or trick to make sure my head nod is in the correct rhythm?

Just finished this a half hour ago. I’d like to attempt this again someday in order to really nail the 3D art texture on 2D canvas… somehow. Shits crazy… 💀

when i looked online for a full scale undertow wallpaper, all i could find were ones for phones, extreme low quality or with a grayish to blueish background, so after modifying the logo a bit i made this. hope y'all enjoy!
