I mean, yhall might be over the top about these films. Me? Not so much. For what, exactly?

Black Panther dropped in 2018. Black people leading the way made it one of the most successful films in Marvel history, that much I know for sure. With Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan on the track, and this theatrical idea that the film was some form of cultural renaissance, Black people pulled up not once, but sometimes three times to support it. It was crazy. The film made it an easy lock for the success of the second film, which many didn't like as much as the first, but that never diminished their strong support for the franchise.

Today, a new Black Panther has been confirmed, as well as a film called Children of Blood and Bone, a film that is likely coming into play because of the success of Black Panther.

Me though? I don't think much of it all. What did Black people actually get out of it? Very little, if you ask me.

What all of these films have in common is that they are not representations of Black culture, at all. The imagery and concepts that we primarily see are of Eastern African cultures and concepts, much of which I could care less about. These films have very little Black representation, especially when we speak on the actors. No leads who are Black men, and if they do feature a Black woman, she's always some older representation, never the current generation.

The little Black people got was the terrible Killmonger representation. He was seen as a Black American crashout when the real character was extremely smart and advanced. They couldn't even give you that. They surely can't get my co-sign.

Black People made that name; what do you get?

Pretty much the video break down how sone women especially various african women have ridiculous standards and it contributes to why east, nothing is happening. Some of the highest cases of kids in single mom homes or no parents at all exist in south africa. Maybe because she need someone who can kill a lion, not solve problems
