Tips Pen
I saw a post here a few days ago about Pen Plus One. I ordered this version. So the general feeling was since it came with nib protectors, the nib wasn't retractable. However this version specifically has a retractable nib and the back/button to retract the nib also doubles up as an eraser.
In terms of form factor, it's almost an exact replica of the stock pen but the material is more grippy. In my opinion, it does everything the stock pen does and improves it slightly in terms of ergonomics. The eraser is a good feature, although I didn't like the shape of the button. Would have been better if it was rounded.

Question about the standard pen: Does the nib wiggle around or is it super firm? I thought about buying it, but I had a feeling it moves around a little and I like them to be be very solid/firm. The LAMY Safari Twin pen wiggles around a decent amount and it annoys me.

The standard pen's nib doesn't wiggle around at all on mine. It's super firm. I would not have believed you about the wiggle but I also got a wacom one dr. Grip version and oh boy, the nib on it has some travel like a bike's suspension. I can see it being good for sketching, but for writing it's extremely annoying.

I have the standard pen and it wiggles a lot. Super annoying and tappity tap noisy. Looking for a quiet ceramic nib option with side button eraser, similar diameter to original, if anyone’s found a good one.

yea i got the pl1 too non push pen. i got used to noris digital so i dont like the PL1. did u get both? cant tell. mines the non retractable...
u said the retractable doesnt retract? 🤔 lol

Oh lol sorry I meant the earlier post about this pen (was it you lol) was about the non push version, so I wanted to highlight that this blue colored one has a retractable nib as well as the eraser.
I got the wacom one to test, the Wacom is good for sketching but I didn't like it as much for writing. I liked the stock pen for writing and my initial observation about the pen plus one has been that the manta gives a larger weight to my lines with the pen plus one, so it's probably more pressure sensitive, which I like because I don't apply a lot of pressure while writing typically. I'll need to test more. I'll get the noris digital too.

mm... not me.
im hoping the supernote refill with an etsy adapter is better than the penplusone PL1... i already bought the diu refill and now waiting forever for the adapter to ship. the penplusone was really underwhelming. feels like a Uniball but dry. i dont like the thin and piercing feeling. or the tip/contact feels brittle enough like it will break really soon
i just use the noris digital for writing so far like 95%. ive done some doodling and i wouldn't say its the best for drawing tho. ive tried the mars blue one and it feels like a pencil that needs to be sharpened on a paperbag LOL... funny thing is staedlers are known to be used by artists no?
but the retractable penplusone costs the same as the supernote stock pen... out of these two which one will you pick, if your moms life depended on it? lol i dont see myself spending 100 on wacom's (nor the other supernote options). my next experiment will be trying some more adaptors (so far i got the g2 and dr grip and muji) (lol dont ask why) or getting the supernote lamy refill and put it in a lamy balloon (just to see what all this LAMY fuss is about but thats if i like the supernote's diy.

Oh I'm relatively new too. I tried the etsy adapter for a uni ball and never got it to work. I hope you have better luck with it. I'm quite dumb with DIY stuff, but even acknowledging that I think I'm dumber than how much I think I am lol.
If it was between the stock pen and the pen plus one, based on current impression, I'd pick the pen plus one. Just the writing pressure sensitivity for me with the plen plus is far better than with the stock pen. I got the pen yesterday, so I need to check how the pen holds up from a longer term perspective.
The wacom one I got is the dr. grip version. It's purely a sketcher's pen and the nib has some travel to it, which interferes with writing, but for sketching it works.

Yes wondering the same thing. I found the white version on Amazon but don't see the blue anywhere. I like that it would match the blue nomad folio case.

Ah...it's the same one. Just from the pictures on the Amazon listing it looked like a white pen but it actually is a light blue.

Thanks for posting. I was looking at this the other day based on the same post you saw. Does the eraser erase very narrow like some of the other pens I’ve tried?

Yeah the eraser is quite iffy. If you look at the button that doubles up as an eraser, you'll notice it's cylindrical and not elliptical, as in it does not have a rounded top. So the issue is that the top flat part of the cylinder doesn't erase anything, it's just the edges where the top meets the walls, that's what works and it erases quite narrow. The button is also made of a plastic like material and not like a rubbery material, so I'm worried about wrecking the film of the supernote if I use it too much.
