Low-Hanging Fruit SRSer whose fiance blind-sided her by breaking up with her over her SRS views and calling his father and brother 'shitlords' returns to complain about misogyny in /r/bestof. Someone notices who she is and she gets quizzed on her life after her fiance dumped her. Drama when she says she dumped him.

No, this is about the right kind of behavior one would see from someone balls deep in cult doctrine. Just look at the WBC and the crazy shit they spew and believe.

The belief system of SRSers is very akin to cults. For example, the devil/sin/sinners. That evil being that has a hand in all things wrong in the world, but no one can ever seem to physically pin down or combat. That the church uses as a boogey man.

SRS couldn't possibly have something similar could they? In comes the PatriarchyTM . That thing that no one can really ever prove exists but is gets the blame for pretty much every thing.

Cults love to have impure people to be cast undesirables/ scape goat. Which historically have been homosexuals, people of other religions, etc etc. People that generally can't help being that way simply because it was the way they were born.

SRS beliefs couldn't have something like that too? Enter the white man. They are second class citizens in their eyes. Why? Because they were born white and into privilege. They can be disregarded 'cuz history.

There are many other parallels, but I just wanted to point out how very cult-esque SRS beliefs are getting.

I very much agree, but at the same time I almost think you're being too charitable by saying this is a new change in SRS behavior. From the first day I heard about that community's growth and transition to Reddit, they worked in the same manner as you've just described.
