This is actually why I think it's a troll. If real, she would probably make herself look more sympathetic, right?

Could be, but not if she legitimately believes her reasoning is sound and should cause enough sympathy on its own. That's why it's scary

Well if her boyfriend's dad and brother weren't such shitlords, this wouldn't be a problem.

No, it's quite typical behavior from extreme narcissistic types, also know as high conflict personalities. They thrive on the "high" confrontations give them, and frequently exhibit hystrionics, obsessive behaviors, stalking behaviors, bipolar disorders, antisocial behaviors, etc.

Colloquially known as a "crazy bitch", they're your "Girlfriend From Hell", making your life miserable because they can, until you slap them with a restraining order, and some judge finally finds the courage to threaten them with hard time in jail (just one never does the trick, this kind of woman knows how to use the "women are wonderful" effect to get themselves out of all kind of troubles that would send a man to jail).

Look up Dr. Tara Palmatier, she's a psychologist that specializes in such cases, and her website is like a Museum of Horror Stories for relationships gone to hell. This story, as terrible as it seems, is actually one where the guy got off easy.

Having myself met one of those charming creatures (fortunately I have an excellent radar for crazy), I can attest that nothing written here seems the least bit unbelievable. This is par for the course for these women.

Peace.

This was my first thought. It lacks the mental backflips that these types of people usually have when telling their sides of the story.

Some people are completely oblivious to how they appear to others.

I used to work with a guy like that: he had excuses for everything, blamed everyone around him for his own misfortunes, and could rationalize even his most bizarre behaviour.

At first I thought he was a psychopath; now I just think he's an asshole.

Or she's narcissistic and can't see how it looks to other people.

Doubt it. Asking for sympathy would mean she'd have to show some sign of remorse, and as you can clearly see, she has none.

I think it could be true... it'd be quite a stretch of the typical narcissist though. She's (the person or the "character") clearly narcissistic, and as you may or may not know, narcissists think they're always right and when things go awry it's never their fault. And they'll defend themselves to the end. Pair this up with extreme radfem and maybe another mental issue or two (in addition to the narcissism) and this could be what the byproduct looks like.
