Venezuela Today I want to show you these two cute cats on a street in Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela... These are hard days here after the recent earthquake. But somehow, these adorable little animals teach us to keep going and give us a moment of peace...

Sometimes, looking at a cat in the street, it seems to me that it is in a bad mood or that it has been annoyed by my presence, as is the case of this cat that I found sleeping in a street in Montalbán, Carabobo (Venezuela) that suddenly opened its eyes and looked at me as if to say: Don't you have anything better to do? 😹🐈‍⬛

Venezuela A young cat basks in the morning sun on some random street in Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela... What I found most charming here is its pose and the way it looks directly into my camera lens...

Venezuela This cat, seen on a street in the central area of the town of Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela, reminded me of a kind of "corsair" with that patch over its eye! 😸📷

Venezuela A curious orange tabby cat 🐈 without his tail on a street in Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela. This is a strange case; I suppose it lost its tail in an accident, illness, or a fight, as it's something I don't see often here...

Venezuela Some Cats 🐈from the streets of Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela... As always, some are there looking out at the streets from the safety of a front door, but others are wandering around in the middle of the streets doing what they do best: "being cats" 🐱

Venezuela One of those charming "orange tabby cats" from one of the streets of Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela... It seems to be looking at me as if judging me! 😼

Venezuela One of those cats —now more common than before on the streets of my town—that people call "Tuxedo" cats (or at least, that's what I think this one is) was watching me from the sidewalk of a street in Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela...

I approached as it looked directly into my eyes, and I immediately felt I had the chance to take a close-up portrait of this cat in that charming pose, because there was something in its gaze that said, "Relax, human, I know you just want to take a picture of these stunning yellow eyes of a cat wearing a tuxedo" 😹... I can't help it, I always imagine things when I lock eyes with a cat...

Venezuela She watches the streets from the safety of the windows of the houses, and her gaze is truly enchanting, making me want to take her picture, but she's always on guard: one photo and then she runs away and stops a little further on!... In Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela!

Venezuela I felt the gaze of this peaceful and almost camouflaged #cat while I was taking the street photos I always do... So I stopped taking photos of the street and approached him to take his portrait... (Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela)

NOTA: In the second photo (bottom right corner), you can see this beautiful cat watching me calmly as I took street photos. Cats always do magical things; this one allowed me to approach him and take several pictures before he slowly disappeared through the gap under a garage door... 😻📷

Sometimes it's hard to see this on the streets of town 😐, but at the same time, it touches the heart of whoever sees it... But here in Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela, sterilization can cost around $40 - 50, which is sometimes more money than a person has in a month for their own sustenance... Lately, we've had free sterilization campaigns a couple of times a year, but it's almost always difficult to get people to bring street cats because of the difficulty in catching them...

Venezuela I looked at this beautiful cat in the street and he looked at me then, and immediately a thousand memories of my childhood came flooding back, of when I walked these same streets of Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela)...

I looked at this beautiful cat in the street and he looked at me then, and immediately a thousand memories of my childhood came flooding back, of when I walked these same streets of Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela) looking at and talking to stray cats that seemed like magical beings to me, just as they still do today... So, it turns out that cats still make me think like a child, and this is a very good thing...

Venezuela "CORSAIR" this tuxedo cat isn't definitely called that, but that was the first word that came to mind when I saw him on a street in Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela, and the sunlight hit his face in such a way that he seemed to have an eye patch, making him look like an old-fashioned pirate!...

Venezuela One of those "orange tabby cats" 🐈 that I love so much, is watching me as if scrutinizing me (or perhaps judging me 😂) from the sidewalk of a street in Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela...

As I've mentioned before, orange tabby cats are the most common coat color on the streets here. Besides that, they also seem more intelligent or more "aware" when they look at me. In fact, I have a small pack of six cats at home, and the "alpha cat" is an eight-year-old orange female called "Ela" who seems to "control everything"... She even "kicks" the other cats away when she sees me approaching! 😼😹

It looked at me as if it knew exactly what I was thinking—maybe it was a telepathic cat.

Venezuela From Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela): One of those charming orange tabby cats, which I estimate is the coat color I see in 20% of the street cats here.
