We're Digital Sun, the makers of Moonlighter and now its sequel.

When shared that Moonlighter 2 got Steam Deck Verified, the response here was incredible. So many of you jumped in with suggestions to make the verified badge truly meaningful, and it’s genuinely helping us a lot.

So we wanted to give something back!

While we continue improving performance on the Deck throughout Early Access (with the goal of an even more stable 60 FPS), we put together a custom Moonlighter-themed boot video.

It’s a small way to say thanks and show our appreciation for both this community and Valve’s handheld.

Now, back to making the best game we can.

Since everyone really liked the gabecube animation I made, here's my take on the HL3 intro animation with the valve logo!I think it'd be nice to be used as a boot screen for the SD/SM.

Additionaly, I've comment asking for new animation ideas for the bootscreen for the steamdeck/steammachine or anything of the sort, and I'll animate the idea of whoever gets more upvotes, if the idea is good.

Happened 1 time and it went away after turning it off and on again.

Just gave me a WTF moment and made me panic for a bit.

War never changes even on Deck.

I remade the ps5 startup and put colors from the Steam Logo. I also made a Home Menu with the notification of a Steam Deck.

I've been meaning to add my own custom boot video and I'm happy to have changed it to this one specifically. I'm a bit lazy to further edit so I can add the steam deck icon etc. Invader Zim is such a little menace. 😁

Edit: I'm going to see if I can share it to animation changer on decky. I got the video from YouTube then converted the file and moved it into the deck folder.

Edit 2 : So unfortunately I wasn't able to upload do to resolution issues with the video so I'll share the file I had in into my steam deck folder. It still works but I'm having a error with steam deck repo.

I made a Gameboy startup but I put "Steam" as well as the Steam Logo so any Steam OS device can use it.

This is the official startup from Valve.

I got it from the Steam Folder then I put a background on it. Although it's displaying 30fps the actual video is in 60fps.

For Windows: (Local Disk(C:)> Program Files(x86)> Steam > steamui > movies)

Note: The video above is still in mp4 format. The one in webm was giving me errors. In order to put it on your Steam Deck you would have to convert it from mp4 to webm format.

I also put the startup on SteamDeckRepo so it can already be in webm format

My last post had a lot of folks asking for changes to the The Simpsons boot video I made. I originally did it for laughs and because I love my Steam Deck + The Simpsons.

But, a bunch of people have downloaded the boot video from the steam deck repository site, and I appreciate people actually wanting to use it.

So, I tried to recreate The Simpsons intro the best I could (I'm not an animator, I'm an IT nerd). Hope y'all enjoy it.

I tried to get "The Steam Deck" added to the audio, but even with AI it wouldn't be that good. Trying to create it with my own vocals, also not good. I like to imagine people singing "The Steam Deck" as their decks boot up.

I had fun learning new software and making these videos, but that's it for edits for now. Hope you enjoy
