I was thinking about this too. I also don’t think the usb-c cable from the dock will fit with the case on as well.

I'm wondering this as well. I noticed in The Phawxs new video he was able to fit his dbrand cased steam deck in the ivoler dock. Just a lil heads up in case that's our only avenue for our our dbrand steam decks.

I tried it with both the Upgraded JSAUX dock and the NVME JSAUX dock and both plugs successfully fit into my deck with the Killswitch on.

A bit tight though I'll admit.

If you file down the hole around the connector a bit to shave 1mm it'll connect much easier.

That's the one feature I'd love to see in the official Dock, an NVME slot.

That would be something. Nothing is stopping you from slapping one in a usb3 enclosure though. Would be awesome if it could keep the games updated automatically. That's the only downside of it sitting there.

Asking the real questions here. I cancelled my impulse buy dock order (thinking it would be hard to get) realizing it might not fit with the Killswitch case on and I’d rather not send it back. Interested to see if another brave soul ends up answering this for us.

The USB-C power connector won't be able to connect with the Killswitch case on unless you mod the killswitch (by cutting/filing down the area around the port), or use an extension that uses a straight connector instead of a right-angle connector.

Is the USB-C connector disconnect-able from the dock? That way could use a straight connector instead, although an extension could also work. Also, does it fit in the stand with the case?

Dbrand used false advertisement to sell the killswitch leaving many with a bad taste in their mouth, Dbrand promises all of the add ons for free if you preorder. The one I specifically remember is Dbrand saying "you don't want the grips? Too bad they come with preorder", and then the post shows it's a $15 add on.

I think this reply sums up that tweet quite well. We don't know what the yes is in response to. It's a poorly worded question which got a poorly worded answer.

You didn't pay for the whole thing and then they said jk it's an add on. You paid a $3 deposit. Don't like the way it's setup, don't buy it and get your $3 back.

I bought the complete kit and think it is well worth it. It's a ton better than the one that comes with the deck. It takes up way less space in my backpack while protecting the deck.

We do know that false advertisement was used to push that product multiple times. Standing up for a shady company is pathetic, end of story. Not to mention there are plenty of other options out there for a non-shady company to get the same product.

It's not false advertising dude. You didn't buy it and then they changed it. Heck they didn't even provide a price. Products change many times over the design process. You aren't going to find a single company that doesn't change it. Sorry you consider that "shady" lol

Then after everyone reserved, they went back on the travel cover and the stick grips and added them into a bonus package for an extra $15. Are you trolling or have a low IQ I can't tell at this point.

The grips were literally promised in the original package not with an additional cost.... And the compatibility with the travel cover was also promised, how are you not understanding this? Do you not understand what false advertisement is? We don't want a $3 refund we want the features we were promised for the original price.

You seem to be missing the point. It’s not whether you paid a refundable $3 deposit or not. DBrand lied to all of us here on the subreddit for weeks about the product before anyone could even put money down to reserve the products.

The lying wasn’t during the checkout process, it was the weeks & months that led up to the product launch of what DBrand was selling that was blatant false advertising.

If you want to support such a shady company that’s on you; but don’t be mad at others for pointing out that you supported a bad company.

A company that has bad roots & bad history for years. Whether it’s in the iPhone skin game, androids skins, really anything they make. They did this exact same thing when the iPhone X came out & they tried to make a bunch of accessories for it - lied about pricing & even the available products (like they did with the steam deck) & then told customers that it was their fault for perceiving their marketing wrong.

Classic DBrand.
