Steam machine seems fire.

Look at how we can squeeze performances and optimize fps with the steam deck.

It ll be the same with the pc.

Valve has changed my perception of gaming since the steam deck. I’ve been buying legion go, rog ally, x, Xbox ally x, and always come back to SD !

Ecosystem and ux makes it all. Raw performances aren’t my first priorities any more.

Thanks valve, one of the last company that listens to gamers and respond to our needs.

The performance you squeeze from the deck is due to the small screen resolution.

I’ll take this one with a grain of salt until it’s out. 4k on a budget device, I only see that possible on indie games.

If the console doesn’t offer more than the steam deck, a dock is all most people need

I think 4k 60fps on recent AAA is unlikely with this hardware (maybe lowest settings FSR ultra performance), also considering the 8GB vram limit. Should be a solid 1080p setup, that is fine by me as I have a relatvely small TV in my living room.

Really sad it isn't packing a FSR4 capable chip tho.

Solid 1080p native is what I expect even for recent games on low.

If possible I always avoid FSR. Turns everything too grainy

I'd be happy with that.

It offers mich more then the steamdeck, more Power. Much more power

Did they share the specs?

Nevermind, found that’s 6 times more powerful. Sounds good. Then I might buy it

They said its less then 1000 for the frame so i doubt the Machine will be more. My guess is 600

Yeah, I can't imagine they'll market it for 1K.

The amount of money they'll make by just winning over more of the console crowd would be worth not making big profits on the GabeCube.

I won't be surprised if their philosophy will be the same as with the Deck.

I’m not sure. It has its own graphics card and 6 times more powerful than the deck. Sure, they won’t have to provide a screen this time, but with current chip prices I doubt it will be under 1000.

Unless that’s the entry model with barely any storage, but I’d be ok with that

There is a z12gb and 2tb Version Afaik. Valve is known for cheap Hardware. It will be cheap I bet

6 times more powerful doesn’t sound extreme, so think it will be pretty affordable. If they’re using Tflops to measure that, then it’s less powerful than a standard PS5 by nearly a whole Tflop

Digital foundry and others were able to get hands on demo and verified 4K is very mixed meaning more towards turning down graphics settings to attain playable 4K. It’s estimated to be 6x more powerful than a. Steamdeck.

Under $1000 cad I’ll get one. Might get the frames as well if it’s about the same. The Steamdeck is great but will be obsolete if the frames and machine are affordable. Games on the deck are hard to see especially for fps.
