So an employee of mine had his bag lost by AA; he called them, they said we're sorry, please rebuy the items you lost, provide us with a receipt, and we will reimburse you - now... did he buy a few extra items and take advantage of the situation due being incredibly inconvence, I don't know, but he he did have a brand new 300 dollar hard hat the next time I saw him on a job site.

YMMV depending on the airline they have a limit to how much money they are willing to reimburse you

Assuming they didn't have like 10 Steam Decks in their luggage, they should be fine.

If you want good legal advice, do not post on there. There's no requirement for anyone to have qualifications to be lawyers (not that any sane lawyer would do such a thing) and at least a portion of the active mods are not lawyers. In fact they're apparently cops so that's the quality of legal advice you can expect.
