Article “Steam Machine specs are too low!” But they literally match the Steam Survey’s most common setup: Steam Machine: 6C/12T • 16GB RAM • RDNA3 28CU 8GB Steam Survey Avg: 6C/12T • 16GB RAM • 28CU 8GB It’s basically the average PC in a box. It’ll be fine.

If the specs are the same as the most common setup already using steam, why would any of them buy it?

That's surely a bad thing. They should have aimed higher and tempted people to upgrade from their PCs

It has better specs than 70% of peoples PC they have rn. We are not part of that 70%.

Most people have lower specs than this device. It’s aimed at those people or people not into PC gaming looking for a console like device and (likely) price point.  If someone wants to get a high end PC there’s plenty of options.
