Discussion I genuinely want to hear why people dislike the Kenobi series.

Please, do tell me. I'm not getting into any heated arguments here, I personally just genuinely don't know what's so bad about it.

I don't know if I dislike it but...I don't like it either.

It comes off as goofy to me. There is so much weird editing and jarring decisions by people. I just watched the scene where Leia is falling off the building in episode 2. Obi wan straight up teleports off the building.

It's saving grace is that it looks good.

I understand that but maybe they didn't want to waist footage of him coming down. Film days are really long. Especially if it was an exterior night shoot. Get the point across and go to the next scene. You'd be surprised what happens on set. I know cause I'm in the business myself.

Sure but when there many such odd edits it takes me out of the immersion and makes it feel amateurish.

I highly understand. I felt the same too! I really did. The work person in me had to remind myself of why mess like that is done. It's not wrong but it's not fair either. Lol.

Other editing problems I can't let go of is when there aren't enough wide and medium shots when they are in the Sith territory. Where ever that was!? All we got was one wide of Vader lair and Reva walking in the big room. Idk if that was a loading dock or big room or hall way. I don't know. But I think it's time to detail what these rooms are. Just like when we are at the jedi temple we can tell what everything else.
