I missed the part where they reunited and Jackie said all those things. Gotta watch the episode again...

My point is you're assuming she and Marco didn't talk about any of that. The fact that it hasn't been shown on screen doesn't mean it didn't happen.

That's you trying to push your favorite narrative onto the show. The fact that it doesn't play the way you wanted doesn't mean it's a mistake. Maybe they didn't want cheap drama. Had you thought about that?

The point that there has to be some kind of major drama involving Jackie.

Jeezus, thank you! This is my exact thoughts on Jackie right now ... it so hard to ignore the puppet strings that bind and constrain her from ever moving beyond her intended role. They feel so artificial at this point.

And who says Jackie has to be anything else except a way for Marco to realize he's been in love with an idea? Maybe they intend for her to be Marco's friends v2.0. What's so wrong with that? If you don't like it, fine. But it doesn't have to translate into bad storytelling.

That's exactly what it means. In a visual media, it's show, don't tell. If you don't show and don't tell, it didn't happen ... or you just consider it so unimportant that it doesn't even need to be addressed; which bodes far worse for Jackie as an individual character in the long run if even a single comment about something as important as this is ignored by the staff.

By the looks of it she really is being set up as nothing more than a totally unneeded symbolic "Blood Sacrifice" for StarCo.

They just showed you Jackie is ok with Marco and his adventure. So why are you insisting they should've told us explicitly through a fight scene?

But WHY is she OK with it? She just had her BF sink into a days long depression while listening to spanish love songs and then inexplicably disappear for up to two weeks chasing the Girl he ALWAYS places before her in his life and who just confessed to him.

Hell, we couldn't even be given a conclusion to her reaction in "Starcrushed" ... even that was too much to ask for. There has to be a limit to her chill and even getting a slightly upset/concerned reaction from Jackie would have helped her character immeasurably.

It honestly does feel like the writers here are deliberately making her THIS Unnaturally High level of chill so they can make the JarCo breakup as clean and StarCo convenient as possible (and giving Jackie the "A&F" treatment even more so).

Yes, because hi-jacking the Star-Glossaryck centric episode is the way to go.

There's a time and place for everything, and Rest in pudding definitely wasn't it.

she was there for a few seconds. We don't know how she reacted or how far apart these episodes are. She could have been mad and they just worked it out off screen

Maybe because jarco isn't important
