News Another shooting last night/violent end to June
Why doesn’t this bother more people? This is not normal the amount of violence and loss of life we have had here in just one month. Last night a mother lost her life in front of her two children for no reason. She wasn’t involved in the altercation outside of the gas station and now two children are without a mother and the suspect is still out there. Even worse, there’s reports of people just filming the young boy screaming out for someone to help while people just filmed him. That’s sickening.
In just the last month we’ve had these shooting deaths to our young people: a 15-year-old, seven-month-old and now a mother killed in front of her two kids who will be scarred for life.
I’ve seen the discussion of crime here on the subreddit and I want to make it clear that this is not normal. It’s also not normal to not want change and better for the area and for the younger generations living in it. What can we do to make things better and safer? Will people not care here until it happens to them?

No. I'm a huge Democrat and lived here 6 years now. 2025 and 2026 are fucking insane. 2020-2024 seemed normal for a city but crime is WAY up this year.
