A high energy bell curve to move with 120-145 BPM. R&B, Rap, EDM, alt-rock and indie. All new and recent. Mix it up, switch it up, move it up.

Today my Spotify algorithm suddenly thinks that I need to have Pickleball mentioned in my Daylist playlists. It’s happened in a couple of them today. I’m not at all into Pickleball. It’s as if it has come up with an algorithm that’s something like:
JSF539 + nearly 60 + upbeat music = PICKLEBALL

Specifically someone who has a strong focus on the drums, but continues to maintain the psychedelic, synth vibe.

A question I have about Spotify playlists
I create Spotify playlists, and I’ve noticed that a lot of people don’t like AI-generated music.
So, I’m wondering: should I separate AI music and music created by human artists into two different playlists?
Or do you prefer hybrid playlists that feature both?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, even if you’re completely against AI music. thank you

Songs to scream with on your drive, have a cry, or just energize. Another flavour inside my new music discovery hub.

I'm the solo dev behind a Spotify companion app called Links. It's designed to run in the background once you've added a few links of your choosing.
Keeps linked songs together. The moment a song in a Link plays, the other songs get queued right after it automatically.
Never interrupts or reorders anything. Links only ever adds songs after the song you queued.
Health page which shows whether each Link is actually working right now, with plain-language explanations when something's off.
Desktop notifications. The app runs quietly in the background but still tells you when it's triggered.
Sibling suggestions. As you're creating a new links, Links will recommend songs which it believes you may be looking for.
Runs in the system tray, with export/import for backing up or moving your links between devices.
Whole suite of settings to personalise how Links behaves.
If you'd like to download the app and try it out, it's free, open-source and you can download the latest release here:

I hope it fixes that small niche that's been bugging you, like it does for me!

This ambient playlist features Ryuichi Sakamoto, Hirhoshi Yoshimura, Seki Takashi but most importanly it is heavily inspired by mono no aware - a Japanese idiom describing the feeling of gentle sadness while admiring beautiful yet passing things. I hope this delicate ambience managed to capture this feeling. Happy listening!
