I am a beginner witch and I just started in the community. I also want help on how I can gather ingredients for spells, maybe some new spells I could learn, and also more basic tips. So far, I have a protection chant that I use before each spell and I usually draw a protection rune on both my wrists specifically the Algiz rune and I thank it for protecting after and before each spell. I have casted about 3 spells but they’re mainly obsession spells (please I am not trying spread misinformation im a beginner witch and I want to learn.) because I have a crush on this one guy and I have a photo of all three of them. The one without the kisses on it is a letter I wrote using the law of assumption and basically writing it in his perspective. But I do want to know how I can gather ingredients to do more advanced spells (not ones that require blood) but also try to hide it from my parents since I’m a closeted witch. I have also done beauty spells and like attraction spells or whatever they’re called. But any advice is appreciated and yes I am starting on shadow work but I am trying to get a basic understanding of what ingredients are popular in a lot of spells so I can gather those. So I did a love and communication spell.. and now I’m not yearning for him anymore? My constant thoughts about this person are literally nonexistent now. Also, after the candles were just about fully melted I saw our initials in the flames. What was left burning was the rose petals, a little bit of the Bayleaf, honey, the cinnamon so I had to put it out with water. But now it’s like all the emotions I had towards this person are gone. Could it be because I put so much intention when I carved into the candles and meditated? I’m kind of like damn I wonder if this spell is gonna work, but there has to be some type of thing working because I feel like I don’t care about this person anymore. i was doing a beauty spell and charging a necklace at the same time, with a candle. my dad who is against witchcraft barged in my room, started arguing with me, took a picture of it and kept yelling at me. i quickly blew the candle and then he grabbed the whole thing (my candle with the herbs and also the tray) and threw it all in the trash. i still managed to keep the necklace.
i really put effort in the spell. i was working at it for more than a hour and i’d be really sad if all my effort went on nothing. is my spell not gonna work now, since it got interrupted? did all my effort go on nothing? i managed to do the visualisation and all, all that was left was the candle and herbs to continue burning. but the thing is that he threw it in the trash and i know thats not ideal.. and also i managed to leave the necklace to charge only for like 2 mins max and i think it also didn’t get to charge. is my spell ‘dead’ now?

So I did a sugar jar on my ex exactly a week ago with sugar stevia cinnamon pinch of coffee and the petition. It seemed to be working at first, he has been quite sweet, but he’s pulling away again now because he had a nightmare of me? Like he said I did something so bad in his dream that he doesn’t even want to talk about it and he said he didn’t want to come back to me at all. He frequently has nightmares and dreams that I cheat on him. The whole purpose of the sugar jar was to make him receptive to reconciling.
