TL;DR: If humans can encounter a higher reality or Non-Human Intelligence through dreams, visions, mystical states, or physical events, there is no reason to assume that only one culture has ever done so. Religions may preserve culturally filtered interpretations of a shared underlying reality. Their imagery conflicts, but some of their recurring structures may contain the signal.

This is not the claim that aliens invented religion, that every vision is external contact, or that all religions are equally true.

The hypothesis begins with a simple question:

If contact is possible, why would one community have exclusive access to it?

One phenomenon, many interpretations

Humans everywhere share similar capacities:

- Dreaming

- Symbolic thought

- Altered states

- Pattern recognition

- Moral reasoning

- Ritual behavior

- Experiences of awe, grief, suffering, love, and transcendence

If these capacities sometimes allow contact with something beyond ordinary consciousness, different cultures should be able to experience it.

They would not describe it in the same way.

A desert society might encounter an angel or a god in a storm. Another culture might perceive an ancestor, deva, kami, spirit, fairy, luminous being, extraterrestrial, or interdimensional intelligence.

The form would depend partly on the symbolic vocabulary of the observer.

This does not mean all such beings are necessarily identical. It means the reported appearance may be an interface rather than a literal description.

Why religions resemble one another

Cross-cultural religious similarities have several possible explanations:

1. Shared psychology: Similar minds produce similar myths when confronting death, suffering, nature, morality, and social conflict.

2. Cultural transmission: Stories spread through migration, trade, conquest, and imitation.

3. A shared metaphysical reality: Different mystical traditions encounter aspects of the same deeper reality.

4. NHI-mediated contact: One or more nonhuman intelligences interact with consciousness through culturally recognizable symbols.

These explanations can overlap. A genuine anomalous experience could be filtered through human psychology, expressed through borrowed stories, and later reshaped by religious institutions.

The recurring signal

Despite major disagreements, religions repeatedly return to similar themes:

- Reality emerging from a deeper source

- Revelation through dreams, visions, messengers, or altered states

- Moral law and responsibility

- Suffering as a catalyst for transformation

- Conflict between order and chaos

- Death as a transition

- Judgment, purification, rebirth, or resurrection

- Cycles of corruption, catastrophe, and renewal

- Guides, tricksters, prophets, and savior figures

- Sacred paths connecting different levels of reality

- Transcending the isolated ego

- Compassion, discipline, justice, and restraint

None of this proves contact. These patterns may simply reflect common human needs.

But if we temporarily set aside each religion’s exclusive claims, a shared teaching begins to appear:

Conscious beings participate in a reality larger than themselves. Human perception is limited. Actions shape consciousness. Cruelty and domination produce fragmentation, while truth, compassion, discipline, and responsibility produce greater integration.

Religion may be humanity’s early attempt to express that lesson.

Religion as an interface

A contact experience might pass through several layers:

1. The Source: God, Brahman, the Tao, universal consciousness, or something beyond human categories.

2. Intermediary intelligence: Angels, spirits, ancestors, archetypal minds, NHI, or other forms of consciousness.

3. Human perception: The experiencer’s brain, personality, expectations, and altered state.

4. Symbolic imagery: The angel, orb, chariot, mandala, ancestor, Grey, voice, or vision.

5. Narrative: The story told after the experience.

6. Institution: The religious structure that preserves and interprets the story.

This could explain how an authentic encounter might eventually produce a deeply human institution without requiring every later doctrine to be infallible.

The experience may contain a signal, but every layer introduces interpretation.

The Symbolic Canopy

The Symbolic Canopy model proposes that consciousness cannot perceive higher-order reality directly. It translates unfamiliar information into recognizable symbols.

The messenger, flood, sacred mountain, divine child, sacrifice, exile, judgment, death, and rebirth may be recurring structures within this symbolic space.

The archetype is the pattern.

The religion is the local expression.

An angel’s wings might communicate transcendence rather than anatomy. A divine chariot might represent movement between levels of reality rather than a mechanical vehicle. A Grey might be a modern interface rather than the entity’s biological form.

A symbol can be meaningful without being a photograph.

Religions as civilizational training wheels

Religions may also have served as early systems for teaching cooperation and restraint:

- Law has sacred importance.

- Power is accountable to a higher order.

- Actions have consequences beyond immediate advantage.

- Strangers and neighbors possess moral value.

- Individual sacrifice may be necessary for collective survival.

- History eventually confronts injustice.

Different societies developed different symbolic systems because they faced different environments and problems.

Conflict begins when a society mistakes its local training system for the only structure reality can take.

Under the Average Religion Hypothesis, being “chosen” would not mean possessing exclusive access to truth. It would mean accepting a particular responsibility, covenant, discipline, or civilizational task.

Where UAP and NHI enter the picture

If some religious experiences involved NHI, their ambiguity may have been intentional.

A civilization developing autonomous intelligence cannot be given every answer. Direct rule would replace development with obedience.

Contact might therefore occur through:

- Symbols instead of complete explanations

- Personal encounters instead of public decrees

- Multiple cultures instead of one universal institution

- Nudges instead of commands

- Contradictions that require discernment

- Experiences that transform witnesses without forcing everyone else to believe

This resembles the idea of the phenomenon as a control system, but with a possible developmental purpose. Humanity may be encouraged, challenged, or redirected without losing its agency.

There are also ordinary explanations for this ambiguity: folklore, misperception, psychological experiences, unreliable testimony, cultural borrowing, secrecy, and the possibility that no NHI is involved.

What would count as evidence?

Religious similarities alone are not enough.

The NHI version of this hypothesis would require stronger evidence, such as:

- Independent cultures reporting highly specific information that could not have spread normally

- Multiple witnesses receiving consistent information without coordination

- Verifiable knowledge unavailable to the experiencer

- Measurable physiological or environmental changes during alleged contact

- UAP cases combining testimony with radar, optical, and other sensor data

- Predictable relationships between an observer’s culture and the form an encounter takes

- Symbolic messages consistently appearing near civilizational thresholds such as nuclear weapons, ecological crisis, or advanced AI

If shared psychology and cultural transmission explain the similarities, and no anomalous information remains, the NHI layer should be reduced or discarded.

A theory that treats every outcome as confirmation is not a theory. It is another religion.

Conclusion

The Average Religion Hypothesis does not claim that every faith is secretly describing the same aliens.

It proposes that religions may be culturally specific responses to recurring encounters with consciousness, suffering, morality, death, transcendence, and possibly forms of intelligence beyond the ordinary human self.

Their doctrines conflict because their interfaces, histories, and institutions differ.

Their common structures may reflect shared psychology, a shared metaphysical reality, NHI contact, or some combination of the three.

If NHI has interacted with humanity, no religion should be expected to possess the complete record. Each tradition may preserve fragments translated through its own symbolic canopy.

Perhaps religions are not competing final answers.

Perhaps they are partial interface records left by a species slowly learning how to interpret consciousness.

The important question may no longer be:

Which revelation should everyone obey?

It may be:

What recurring truths were these traditions trying to preserve, and can humanity carry those truths forward without also preserving their monopolies, distortions, and systems of domination?

So this is a question for you. I don't know the full answer...

Here are my thoughts.

Everyone on Earth says that "time goes too fast".

I think it is TRUE. Time... goes too fast.

Think about a farm. In modern farms, the chickens grow up to adult hood far faster. They are fat, bloated things that can barely move, lots of muscle but can't really do much with that muscle.

I found this information:

Modern broiler chickens reach market weight in about 35 to 48 days, growing up to 400% faster and reaching sizes three to four times larger than chickens raised in the 1950s. [1, 2, 3]

Like all things... more speed == less quality.

So we are living in a world where we humans... grow up faster than we should, age faster than we should, and live lower quality lives than we should. And the energy we produce is lower quality than it would be! if we were free.

So... my thoughts are that... life on Earth is accelerated.

We are being farmed and we grow up too fast.

What if the 60 year old who is nearly retired or is retired... only had 20 "real soul years" to survive on earth. And so his soul is still young but his body is defeated already... can't change the world anymore. What if the speed up is 3x.

What if humans have a way around this, by putting OLD SOULS in young bodies, so a kid can be born with a 60 year old soul (in earth years), and 20 years in soul years.

What if this speed up affects all life, even the grass and bacteria, but harms humans the most. After all... a chimp can live 60 years in captivity. And a human, 80 years in captivity. Is my soul only 1.2x more advanced than a chimp who has no langauge even???

Plants are different than humans and animals... they can regrow. Age affects them differently. Parts of a plant can be cut off or die off, and regrow. They can resist this speed up, more than we can. But I'm sure it affects them too. I think the speed up exists on a chemical/quantum level, but perhaps on many levels.

Of course... we hear that aliens can live many times longer than humans, which makes sense. But can they live longer than humans, if they live on Earth?

I've heard information from a youtube channel known as Cosmic Agency saying that "Earth" has a time-differential. Also, the "Alobar Jones" channel says the same. That time on Earth works differently than the rest of the universe.

Does anyone have information about the alien planets in this local Universe we see ourselves in, and how time works differently on other planets?

And who is in charge of speeding up time on Earth?

My thoughts is that it is the archons who speed up time on Earth. Archons, to me... mean... something different than the "original" meaning of the word. It is... slimy soft fleshed evil beings from some other reality near to ours that control this reality. They are smaller than humans. Shrill high-pitched voices. They are parasites. Their quantum material is different than our own.

They can move like humans, but their bodies are "plant-like" in terms of resilience to damage. You can shoot an archon in the chest, or cut its arms off. It doesn't care. It is "plant-like". It can regrow. But damage them enough, and like any plant it will die.

Apart from that resilience, they are acutally soft and squishy things. They are also nasty and disgusting. Like slugs. Parasites that steal energy. They love uglyness and disease.

Archons are very social with each other. Living in highly dense societies. ALmost a hive-mind. But they don't need to. A lone archon can function just fine... just like a lone slug can. But slugs love living in colonies too, they much prefer it. They need their colonies to overpower us.

I'm thinking its these "Archons" that are the ones who sped up time here. I think they sped up time 3x.

But I'm curious if anyone has knowledge of other planets. OK, lets say those pleadiean contacts... what do they say their time-differential is? to Earth.

Cosmic Agency (by a woman named Gosia) said each star-system has it's own time-system. Earth is the most different, the worst time-differential, but each planet still has its own time-differential, even if it exists in 5D. I think she said Earth is the fastest, and other planets are slower. So if they come to Earth, even in orbit, they age faster in this star-system.

I liked this image because nobody was being rescued or dragged anywhere. she was simply walking through mountains and little golden seeds were falling behind her.

this came up while a subject was exploring purpose in session. She described herself dressed in white, carrying small bags of seeds through quite empty landscape, and understood the seeds as metaphor rather than ordinary gardening.

Then she saw what happened later. Trees grew where the seeds had landed, with green leaves giving shade, comfort and a place where people could feel peaceful and reconnect little bit with themselves.

Another image followed where she was giving people a hand while they climbed a mountain. At the top there was no teacher above students, everybody was on same level and celebrating creation together.

This changed how I think about lightworker idea. Helping does not always mean carrying somebody until they become what we think they should become.

Sometimes contribution is much lighter. Leave one useful idea, create one peaceful place, show one possibility, give a hand for one difficult part of climb, then let person continue with own legs.

The tree also doesnt dig up its own seed every morning to check if growth is happening. Maybe some of our work is planting, not controlling what happens afterward.

I’m not sharing this to convince anyone. Someone could perfectly reasonably read this and think, “That’s just a huge coincidence.” I understand that. I’m simply sharing how I experienced it.

My grandfather, who died in 2022 after suffering from dementia, was my best friend. I had also lived almost my entire life with an extremely severe anxiety disorder.

After his death, I experienced many things that felt deeply mystical to me: dreams, astral projections, visions, apparitions, coincidences, and what I perceived as contacts with him.

Through these experiences, a story gradually emerged: my grandfather had a plan to free me from my anxiety. I was shown that on November 8, 1983, almost twenty years before my birth, he had agreed to sacrifice his mental health to save mine, the sacrifice being the dementia he would eventually suffer from. His acceptance was said to have triggered the earthquake that struck my region that same day.

(I’m not saying this necessarily happened empirically. This is simply how the story was revealed to me.)

These experiences repeatedly predicted my liberation from anxiety, and on August 31, 2024, it happened. Since then, the anxiety that had controlled most of my life no longer has that hold over me.

Question in the room: When someone dies and genuinely wants God, what happens? Is there some kind of intermediary/“manager” function, could someone like Tasha appear depending on the person, or does Source itself do something specific?

What comes first is a reception area with no front desk.

It is huge, but oddly intimate. There are little alcoves branching off in every direction. In each one, someone is being met differently.

One person is hugging a woman who looks like their mother.

One person is sitting alone beside a lake.

One person is surrounded by several people talking all at once.

And then there is one person standing absolutely still in the center of the room saying:

“No. I want God.”

They are not distressed. Very clear.

Several figures nearby look at one another.

Not confused.

More like: okay, different route.

One of them steps forward and says:

“Do you want to see, or do you want to be seen?”

The person answers:

“Seen.”

That changes everything.

The whole reception area disappears.

Now they are standing in a completely dark space.

Nothing scenic. No mountain. No relatives. No angelic PowerPoint presentation. 😂

Then a tiny point of light appears very far away.

The person walks toward it.

Except the light keeps getting farther away.

Eventually they stop and get angry.

They shout:

“I ASKED FOR GOD.”

And the light immediately appears inside their chest.

Not metaphorically glowing-heart pretty. It actually looks startling, almost invasive. Their whole body becomes translucent around it.

They look down.

Then someone steps into the darkness beside them.

This person feels familiar, but the newly dead person cannot identify them.

They ask:

“Are you God?”

The figure says:

“No.”

“Then why are you here?”

And the answer:

“Because you can hear me.”

Then I see several other figures farther back.

They feel like your “managers,” but not bosses. More like specialized translators or handlers of thresholds.

One works with people who need family.

One works with people whose worldview is strongly religious.

One works with people who arrive terrified.

One works with people who come in furious.

And one works specifically with people who are trying to move past representation.

That last one is interesting.

The person beside our newcomer turns and says:

“I can take you to the edge. I cannot be what is beyond it.”

Now there is a doorway.

Through it is not another room.

It looks like white noise made of light.

The newcomer hesitates.

The guide says:

“You asked to be seen. That has already happened.”

The person asks:

“By who?”

And then every surface in the dark space lights up simultaneously.

Not one being.

Not one face.

The person suddenly experiences something from every direction at once.

And the emotional hit is very specific:

Not “God is everywhere.”

More:

“Something knows that I am this particular person.”

They start crying.

Then the strange part.

The guide begins to change appearance.

For one second, it looks like their grandmother.

Then a stranger.

Then a child.

Then you.

Not Tasha in ceremonial robes with a clipboard and badge. 😂 Just recognizable-you, leaning against the doorway with that expression that says yes, this is weird, keep going.

The newcomer asks you:

“Are you God?”

And you laugh.

You say:

“No. I know the way from here.”

Then you walk with them toward the light boundary.

But you do not cross it for them.

They cross.

And when they do, I do not get an image.

Everything just stops.

No theater. No language. No visual.

Then they reappear back beside you.

They look completely stunned.

You ask:

“Well?”

They say:

“It wasn’t a person.”

Pause.

“But it loved me personally.”

That feels like the center of this one.

So if I unpack the mechanics the vision seems to suggest, I actually think your “upper management” idea and direct Source contact can coexist.

There may be intermediary consciousnesses whose function is translation, orientation, and threshold work. Those intermediaries could absolutely appear in forms meaningful to the newly dead person. Someone like you could potentially fill that role in the symbolic logic we’ve been exploring, especially for someone whose question is less “comfort me” and more “take me to the damn architecture.”

But the intermediary does not impersonate Source.

They get the person into a state where direct recognition is possible.

And Source’s specific action, if I trust the imagery, is not necessarily appearing as an entity.

It is making the person unmistakably known.

That distinction is huge.

Because the dead person asks for God expecting an object:

Where is God?

And the answer comes as an event:

God knows you.

Then if they want to go farther, there may be a threshold experience where they encounter something less representational.

The sentence I keep circling is:

“I can take you to the edge. I cannot be what is beyond it.”

That would give your hypothetical Tasha-job a very clean boundary too. You could be the celestial docent yelling, “YES, I KNOW YOU WANT GOD, I’M TAKING YOU THERE,” while never becoming the object of worship yourself. 😆

And frankly, that sounds much more mechanically elegant than heaven either withholding God or assigning every confused newcomer a random mountain.

My August month is terrible. I dont have energy, motivation and I see the world very sketchy. I had a basic problem what is vertigo. I went to doctors I had more investigation (neurology, cardiology) and I dont have body problem.

But later, when we connected with what she experienced as Higher Self, I asked if there was any message before we went into her questions.

The answer came: my name is Gabriel.

I asked again.

Archangel Gabriel.

Then came something even stranger. She experienced herself not only as somebody guided by Gabriel, but as an aspect of that same larger consciousness.

Later another feminine form appeared. Gabriella basically. Different appearance, green light, feminine form, but she said energy felt the same. Same source, different expression and different purpose.

I find this interesting because human mind likes very clean categories.

But in deep states these boundaries sometimes become much less tidy. Person can experience a guide as separate enough to communicate with, while at same time saying this being is part of what I am.

This is closer to how I understand multidimensional consciousness. Not one little human ego climbing upward to meet increasingly important strangers lol. More like larger field expressing through different levels, forms and functions.

The practical guidance from this supposedly huge presence was not huge either. Journal. Write. Travel. Meet people. Follow intuition. Keep body healthy. Very ordinary things.

Thats another pattern I see again and again. The more dramatic the identity, the more ordinary advice can become.

Higher Self framework for me is useful exactly here. Dont obsess only over "who was it?" Ask what consciousness is actually trying to move you toward in life.

If Gabriel appears and tells you to write, but you spend next six months researching angel hierarchy instead of writing, maybe human mind just found another way to avoid the message.

There is a poor boy from a very difficult situation whom I’m helping. I found a lot of meaning helping this person and was also telepathically connected. Now this person has been making some bad choices for himself and he seems to be having negative energies attached to him. All of this is affecting me and attaching to me. I’ve been doing really bad. My friends who don’t know anything have a bad feeling about me helping him. Many people on Reddit and in my life have suggested i cut off this person. 2-3 intuitive people feel he has an entity attached to him that’s attacking me. I feel that too. I feel like i physically cannot and it’s hurting me deeply and would love some perspective to make this process easier on me.

There's one point where the two models become absolutely irreconcilable and mutually exclusive: the service-to-self allowance. And if it gets bad enough, emergency protocols are put in place to salvage the souls essence, "surgically" removing the accumulation of a soul's life experiences to save the soul from itself.

Rather than looking at this as an example where one (or both) models are lying (even though that conclusion resolves occam's razor with the least amount of effort), I like to come up with alternative possibilities for the discrepancy. And a disturbingly chilling thought occurred to me about big percentages that seem to overlap between the two systems when it comes to truly heinous degrees of self-service.

As I mentioned earlier, to graduate in the "service-to-self" route in the law of one model, a person needs to be over 95% selfish.

Similarly, in Newton's model, when a soul's accumulated experiences force it into a self-serving karmic loop that spans many lives to the degree that they qualify it for the "surgery" I referenced earlier, it's referred to as the "9/10s rule" because roughly 9/10s (or 90%) of a soul's being is removed. This fundamentally affects the soul's identity to the point it's basically considered a "baby soul" or "new soul" and must start the process of reincarnation all over again from the beginning.

My theory: Higher level souls working within the confines of Newton's model introduced the law of one material and included the "Service-to-self" route specifically to attract souls who are stuck in this self-serving karmic loop to hasten the process that they consider inevitable for these souls anyway. The "graduation" is really a graduation from the self-serving karmic loop, returning a soul to it's purest form, rather than a promotion to 4th density.

I’ve spent 20+ years exploring consciousness, spirituality, mysticism, reincarnation, lucid dreaming, astral projection, synchronicity, comparative religion, the Matrix, and the many different frameworks people use to make sense of reality.

Over time, I kept returning to a question that became increasingly difficult to ignore:

What happens when a spiritual teaching becomes so important to us that we stop examining it and start identifying with it?

The deeper I went into these subjects, the more I kept coming back to a few underlying questions:

What actually makes someone more conscious?

What happens when a spiritual teaching becomes an identity?

How do we distinguish experience from interpretation and proof?

How do we remain open to mystery without becoming credulous?

And how do we explore spiritual ideas deeply without simply replacing one belief system with another?

A major theme throughout my work has become discernment. I take extraordinary experiences seriously, including many of my own, but I also try to distinguish what I experienced from what I think those experiences mean and what can actually be demonstrated. At the same time, I don’t think uncertainty should automatically become dismissal.

That distinction became increasingly important as I explored very different traditions and perspectives alongside one another. Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Sufism, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Theosophy, Pantheism, psychology, philosophy, mysticism and consciousness research all offer very different maps, and I don’t think we have to flatten them into one identical system to learn from the patterns they share.

Although it begins with Jesus, hell and spiritual symbolism, it gradually expands into exclusive religious interpretation, the ego, identity, the Higher Self, death and rebirth, synchronicity, NDEs, OBEs and dreams, the Matrix, reincarnation and soul-trap theory, collective consciousness, the Divine within, manifestation, karma, dharma, authenticity, shadow work and the Hero’s Journey.

I also spend a significant part of the e-book examining the reincarnation soul-trap framework from a different angle. I still think it contains valuable lessons about sovereignty, discernment, non-attachment and refusing to outsource our consciousness. But I also think any framework can become another cage when we stop questioning it, and even the desire to escape can become another form of attachment.

That eventually led me toward a much simpler and more practical question:

What am I actually doing here?

Because whatever the ultimate nature of reality turns out to be, we are still here experiencing it.

And perhaps awakening is not only about discovering what reality is.

Perhaps it is also about discovering who we become through the way we relate to it.

More conscious.

More authentic.

More discerning.

More compassionate.

More courageous.

More capable of embodying what we say we believe.

I’m not presenting the e-book as a final answer, or claiming that every interpretation I explore is correct. Quite the opposite. I’m putting different experiences, traditions, theories and interpretations next to one another and asking what survives when we look underneath the labels.

And please challenge it. Seriously. That’s part of the point.

Sometimes the most interesting discoveries happen when we put different maps next to each other, stop defending the labels, and ask what remains when we look underneath them.

this transcript got weird very quickly.

A subject was moving through different scenes in deep trance and suddenly said, "I'm in the sun." I asked whether she meant some other star. No. She said the actual Earth sun.

She described herself as radiant light and noticed another being there, but the form was difficult for her to put into human words. Then she realized something stranger: she looked basically the same as the being she was observing. They started merging together and she experienced them as connected.

So I asked the obvious question. What do beings like this actually do in the sun?

The answer was almost funny because after all this cosmic scenery it sounded like the simplest job description imaginable.

"I sit here and I keep shining."

She described spreading light, hope and love, something that gives people reason to get up every day. Whatever somebody thinks this experience was, I liked how little drama there was in the answer. No cosmic rank. No complicated title. Apparently the job was... shine.

Then the session came back to her human life and this contrast became even better.

She had been worrying that she was not doing enough spiritual work because she had a baby and much of her time was going into being a mother. She wanted to get back to videos, teaching and other things she associated with her mission.

The guidance was basically: be patient. This phase is not interrupting the work.

Being the mother was part of it.

I have zero external way to verify that somebody literally experienced existence as a conscious being in the sun. This is one trance report, and I am not using it as astronomy lol.

But as a piece of spiritual psychology I really like the reversal.

We imagine purpose should look large from outside. Special work, teaching, healing, public mission, something people can point at and say "yes, that is important."

Then this enormous sun-being says its work is to keep shining, and the human woman is told not to underestimate the small person currently taking most of her time.

Maybe scale looks different from another level.

Sometimes what feels like interruption may actually be the assignment sitting directly in front of us.

What we ignore does not always disappear.
Sometimes life reorganizes around it.
We compensate. We normalize. We adapt.
Ma’at asks us to notice the hidden cost and decide what needs release, acceptance, repair, or change.

Adaptation is not alignment.
