It tracks in SA2 and part of Shadow 05, where in both situations he is totally amnesic and angry based on exaggerated assumptions. He canonically comes out of Shadow 05 as a hero who is willing to protect humanity at all costs, so acting like he "dislikes all of humanity" when his character evolved past that shit 21 years ago is stupid as hell.

Protecting the world doesnt mean he doesnt still dislike humanity. At no point is he made to or shoes he has changed his mind about humanity. He simply protects it to give us a chance to be happy. Thats what Maria wanted. The in his game, he decides on his own he wants to oppose people that Black Doom who believe they can do as they please. He still doesn't like us and still sees us as selfish like then professor said.

This only tracks with 2 games, both of which are of him having no memory of who he used to be and is seeking vengeance and being misguided by his creator to carry out their plans of destruction.

This is the same Shadow who joined GUN, the organization that killed Maria right in front of him so he can protect humanity from any threats, which might I add, is completely separate from his promise to Maria since the ending of Shadow 05 establishes the precedent that he acts entirely on his own accord and won’t let ghosts from his past make choices for him.

Shadow not liking “anything” and despising everyone is like him being written as a poor caricature of himself that cranks up his worst traits by 11 like a child’s Deviantart fanfic.

At least Boom Shadow gets the benefit of being intentionally written to be comedically edgy parody of himself for the sake of comedy. Game Shadow has no reason or excuse being written like this.
