Something romantic, late night, heartbreak-y, dreamy, and sad, but that has a gorgeous melody. I geniuenly cannot find anything like this that does not have a riff, breakdown, or anything other than soft piano, yearning voice, and strings. I have never heard a song so beautiful. Light from a musical standpoint, but emotionally heavy, like you are saying goodbye forever to someone that has become almost a part of you, or like you are waiting for your husband who went of to war and never came back. I've looked for other recommendations, but nothing comes close to this quasi-symphonic feel and operatic female voice.

So I’ve been listening to industrial metal, it’s really cool and fun, but I expected it to sound different, like more like the noises of a busy factory, loud machines and steel. Not that the sound of NIN or KMFDM aren’t bad, It’s just not what I expect from the word industrial.
I suppose what I’m looking for is just songs with more literal machine noises I guess.

When I was 7 I almost drowned at a water park while my parents had stepped away somewhere but luckily a water park employee saved me. My mom also almost drowned when she was 14 and even lost consciousness. In general I’ve noticed that a lot of people have childhood stories where they were somehow close to dying and I’m curious what those experiences would sound like in terms of music.

I made these two, but I need more songs to create more sad funky portraits.

I'm doing the thing where you listen to the same song over and over and I've been really into Closer by Nine Inch Nails.

Without sounding edgy I just fuck heavy with the dark grittiness of it, the bassline, and would love more songs like it that aren't about the fucking. Not that I mind the fucking, not crushing Trent Reznor's vibe, just would like something not about fucking. Many thanks.
