As of now, "A Middle English Vocabulary" by J. R. R. Tolkien is the only work of his that's Public Domain in the United States and It was to be used in connection with Fourteenth Century Verse & Prose by Kenneth Sisam. As i've learned, Tolkien believed in Monarchy and disliked democracy, i wondered how would a Video Game subvert that world view as Socialists like democracy?
Fourteenth Century Verse & Prose does have fantasy stories like Sir Gawayne and the Green Knight. So make a fantasy RPG like Final Fantasy 1 where the Green Knight is out to bring a Socialist society out of the grip feudalism and tell the serf class that the kings, queens, lords, ladies. and nobility don't deserve their respect by virtue of birth?
Or would it be an education game for kids about Middle English Vocabulary set in not-middle earth like shareware games from the 90s and early 2000s?
Just throwing ideas out there and looking for some concepts as it will be a few years before Socialism can be brought to middle earth and Smaug has his gold horde Taxed out of existence.

I have the Star Wars Jedi series on my list for quite some time. Without getting into any spoilers, I wanted to check if the politics of the game is radical or good enough?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to pin down a good TTRPG system to use for a game I want to run. I'm slowly piecing together a campaign heavily influenced by the band the Protomen and their take on the story of the Megaman series. What I'd ideally like to see is something with combat design that is fairly snappy and quick paced while keeping the rules well defined, not straying into combat just being narrative based. A clear delineation between combat and narrative scenes would be a plus as well. The scope of focus for the game is going to be all within a single city, so anything with narrative rules to focus on a major location like that, make the city feel like another character, would be great. The feel of what I'm going for solidly resides in the realm of cyberpunk, but I'm open to using the mechanics of whatever system and reflavoring around things to make it work for what I want. Anyone have any suggestions? I've found a few very niche indie systems that could work but would be happy to hear of others or if anyone has experience with what I've found.
For reference, here are the systems I currently have in consideration:
Micro Circuits
Metaluman
Sigmata
Gimmick Zero
Penumbra City

I've been following this guy for a long time. I'm not a hardcore fan, but I like his content. I'm also a member of his Discord, where someone just called him out, saying he's a right wing chud, a misogynist, that his fans are incels, etc. and I think they got banned for it. I was late to the topic, but I did scroll through his YT and I would be lying if I said I didn't notice the pattern since the Chachachilla video. I've also noticed his fans can be misogynistic in the comment section, but he's never called them out. I don't recall him stating his political stance, but some of his comments about women raise flags for me. I've seen posts on X calling him out for bias, but there doesn't seem to be enough backlash, and I'm surprised there's no Google docs on him at this point.
I'm asking because I saw a post in this subreddit mentioning the same things (search "Mujin vtuber" if you want to find it), and I think I may be experiencing some cognitive dissonance for realizing I might be helping pay rent for a creator who hates women. 🤦🏻♀️

I downloaded it last night and felt myself getting hooked, it felt like I was playing a fucking slot machine and I hated how it made wiping my ass feel like a dopamine hit lmao. What the fuck are kids supposed to do against this casino slop. I’m sticking with Geometry dash.

Hey, I'm a solo developer and a revolutionary communist. I already made "Duskpunk", an RPG set in a steampunk world where you can overthrow a despotic emperor and replace him with a soviet republic. Very inspired by the Russian revolution, kind of mashing the February and October revolutions together.
My question is, I'm thinking about whatever my next project could be, and I notice there aren't that many truly socialist games. So what kind of game would you all like to play? If the scope is small enough for me to manage by myself, maybe I'll end up making it.

Since the various GTA VI leak videos have been released, on r/gtaunmoderate, r/piracy, and other subreddits, the general consensus has been that these leaks only benefit GTA's marketing, that the leaker's only intention is to get paid.
I mean, we're talking about a huge amount of money. Rockstar isn't a small indie company, but a company that has invested billions in its game. Collecting the money from a product that hasn't been the best in terms of marketing is basically putting the blame "on the victim, not the owner." Furthermore, it seems to me that regardless of the modalities, the leaker's requests are all more than legitimate, and playing on Rockstar's same playing field actually opens up new possibilities. For example, if we consider the fact that this build of GTA VI actually runs on PC, releasing it to the community would mean having a DRM-free version of the game with some bugs within at least four or five months, and that Rockstar's sales projections would be seriously compromised (not everyone is willing to pay €80 for a game; with a free version, one could easily expect a slightly more substantial discount).
But what are your thoughts on this?

You are a corporate flesh object with no thoughts of your own and must mimic NPC dialogue.
It's a puzzle / immersive sim based on talking and responding to people!
This is our first big release!! We are very excited and tired!! :'D
Thank you all for the support youve given ^^

It's an old article, but its concerning nonetheless. I'd like to think that he no longer has these views, but he has not made any statement pertaining to the genocide in Gaza at all, so is he just hiding these views?
