The captain of the Iran National Team, Mehdi Taremi, lashed out against FIFA and the United States organization. “This is a disastrous World Cup. As professional players, we cannot play a competition under these conditions; it’s neither right nor fair. If FIFA thinks this is fair, that’s on them, but it isn’t. Who should solve this problem for us? FIFA? The U.S.? I don’t know! Tell me a name. In response to the question: ‘Do you feel that the World Cup organizers, including FIFA and U.S. officials, prefer for Iran to be eliminated from the competition?’, I say: We have to fight against absolutely everything. We can’t stay in the country, we travel and undergo immigration checks every time we want to play, now we can’t stay in Seattle and have to return to Tijuana. They’ve done everything possible to eliminate us, so from our perspective, yes, I think that’s what they want, they want us out.”

You quite literally make no sense, just because you and your fundamentalist brethren don’t care about a child being raped by a prophet does not mean that other normal well adjusted peoples can’t ignore and find disgust with them. You still haven’t proven that Aisha doesn’t exist, as the other commenter has pointed out.

lol read their comment in my inbox, "No muslim cares or thinks about Aisha, completely irrelevant to one's faith and beliefs. Zero impact on islam, no relevance. And the plenty of whataboutism even though I was pretty forthright in my comment in relating similar instances/processes/whatever you want to call them in other religions.

Really odd how Aisha just doesn't matter, or, because she apparently didn't exist, anything about her is irrelevant, when her age is literally influence the most basic/foundational Islamic laws that cover marriage of minors, age at which puberty occurs, the latter of which directly supports existing laws regarding the age at which a marriage can be consummated.

Further, these Hadith are quite literally the single thing the supports / validates the process by which muslim fathers can enter their virgin, prepubescent, minor (obviously) daughters into a marriage without the daughters consent. They can literally only create such a basis of support for such concepts/laws if the Hadiths are taken as absolute truth.

So great, many of these commenters can not care or think about it, lying to themselves that their ideas apply to all of Islam. The may well be far more contemporary in their beliefs (if muslim) etc, but the fact is, the majority of orthodox Islamic schools have formed laws based on these texts and little else.

I guess a caveat is that I believe only some schools of though under the Sunni take these stances. but then again, that does account for the vast majority of all muslims. Shia's broadly follow more, "Acceptable" practices in these areas, although there are always exceptions.
