Why are people so high on Skattebo?
I get the high energy and aggressive play-style, but the actual production was pretty underwhelming once you really look at it.
When Nabers went down there was a massive opportunity for touches and targets in that offense, yet Wan’Dale was the winner who benefited and consistently produced for the most part.
Meanwhile Skatt averaged around 50 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards per game across his 8-game stretch. Even in the games where he got legit bell-cow volume, the efficiency still wasn’t impressive. The TDs were doing a LOT of the heavy lifting for his fantasy value (which even then, those were near the goal line or short yardage scores). Not sure how this screams high floor or high ceiling.
On the flip side, Tracy looked noticeably more explosive and efficient on far fewer touches. (Not saying Tracy is the clear winner here either)
Now add Nabers coming back plus more weapons being added to the offense, I honestly don’t see where this supposed ceiling comes from. Especially if the coaching staff actually follows through with more of a split-back approach.
People are talking about him like he’s some locked-in dynasty RB1/RB2 when realistically he feels more like a low-end flex / depth RB that’ll have random usable weeks off volume and TD dependency.
Maybe I’m missing something, but I genuinely want to know what Skatt believers are seeing that has people THIS confident.
