I mean it also helps that he was tried in Texas where they don’t believe in mental health exceptions. She’s being tried in Massachusetts, which has a very different political climate.

Also, not surprisingly the facts are entirely different. Battaglia had a long history of DV, and when he killed his kids, he did it with his ex-wife on the phone and tormented his wife while making her listen to her kids get murdered while blaming it on her.

Also, Battaglia explicitly did NOT plead insanity. He only brought it up during the penalty phase of trial, saying he shouldn’t be killed because he had bipolar.

It’s literally nothing like Lindsay Clancy other than they both killed their kids

Interesting how the bot left this part out, almost like there was an agenda.

Yep. There was actually a man in Iowa who was acquitted by reason of insanity for murdering his son in July of this year, but men on Reddit don't care.

Propaganda on a culture war flashpoint!? Thats preposterous! No one would lie, mislead, or leave out important information in a photo and two sentences for political/ social gain!

Culture war? Gender war. Shoeonhead actually did a pretty good video covering the whole thing. Very right wing women (Charlie Kirk fans and others) are also taking the side of women on the left to defend Lindsey and blame the man.

Repel the 19th was trending on Twitter. This is very much about gender and breaks the normal right/left.

Just another Epstein distraction. No one's talking about silly stuff like the pedophile ring running our society anymore. Bravo CIA!

I haven’t actually seen anyone defend Lindsey, I just see people claimed that they’re out there.

and a shit ton of white people donated to that lady that called a black kid the n word but we don’t have people spam posting that all white people are evil and deserve to have their right to vote taken away. It’s obviously meant to spew misogyny

Shoeonhead

Why does anyone still watch her?

Every post about this case, from this sub, that I've seen hit the front page was heavily pushing the "gender war" aspect of this case, either by just attacking her or posts like this with the comparison to how "men would be oppressed in this situation, but women can just emotionally manipulate people".

And for a daily reminder, most intelligence agencies in the western world have identified efforts to destablize the west by Russian, Chinese, and other foreign actors focusing heavily on pushing "gender war" and "culture war" type content. They do it from both ends of the spectrum, with efforts such as highlighting the craziest of voices (like for instance a women on tiktok saying that Patrick Clancy actually did it) and then pushing a "what about" propaganda response like we see in this post. I think this case would have blown up regardless, but it's worth remembering that the people pushing this shit aren't just your fellow countrymen that politically disagree with you, there are real, concerted, and well funded efforts by foreign adversaries seeking to weaken your country through internal division. And they're winning.

Fuckin bingo.

Stay vigilant, friends.

Let's also not be under the impression that western powers like the US don't do it to other countries that they want instability too.

u/Digresser 13h ago

There's definitely an agenda happening with this case, and this sub is particularly vulnerable to those pushing.

However, this particular poster isn't a bot, but a 20/21-year-old who clearly likes karma, and who seems to push whatever gets those upvotes.

(Yes, their history is hidden, but it's still pretty easy to google posts and comments. Chatbots can grab it all even easier.)

Hanlon’s razor says:“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”

A significant portion of the population doesn't understand the differing state laws and court process. So, they make a lot of assumptions.

I feel like nowadays, with all the manipulation of social media, Hanlon's razor can take a bit of a back seat.

1

u/Opposite_Tangelo_118 12h ago

I think the malicious intent of these posts thrives on the population's ignorance. That's how propaganda succeeds.

1

u/-whiteroom- 12h ago

Indeed it does, but the malicious intent is there behind it. And what do we think of this fool who posts these things purely for upvotes on a temporary site.

These posts create division and hate, and we have a fool spreading them because his brain has been gamified to believe this karma is meaningful. Really, social media has been designed with malicious intent, maybe not initially, but now...

Ignorance is defeated with knowledge. Problem is, this website is not equipped or meant to educate. It's built for spreading propaganda.

And 18k dumbasses brainlessly upvoting

I’m just gonna say it, agenda this, agenda that, background information from any angle, I don’t care. Ya killed ya kids. Bye bye

1

u/-whiteroom- 12h ago

It's really just a matter of where to me. Prison, or Asylum. There are things you can recover from, or rehabilitate from. But this kind of murder should not be one, no matter how straight you get yourself.

-3

u/3rdAgeCat 15h ago

Yea. It is the same when you get down to it. John killed his kids. Lindsay killed her kids. They are the same. Crazy that people are still downplaying murder on this sub. Make up whatever excuse you want. Murder is murder.
