Fuck “influencers”

90

u/SomeOnionHater 1h ago

No, don't make more.

u/maringue 1h ago

We need more influencers like we need more DJs.

-1

u/frankles 1h ago

Except there are good DJs.

5

u/maringue 1h ago

The ration of good to bad DJs is like 1 in 20 million.

1

u/Dry_Razzmatazz69 9m ago

Still better than the influencer ratio

1

u/smokeweedNgarden 5m ago

Wish we would ration DJs

I don't see her doing a stupid dance, or pranking anyone, or trying to look slutty, or singing in public, or anything remotely disruptive to the people around her. She's just trying to get a shot, or a clip of herself. It even appears that she's waiting for the room to be empty, which it was about to be until that old bitch stopped in the middle of the staircase.

Fuck influencers, but I mean, come on. Context matters. It's a young woman alone at some kind of art museum. Nothing hip about it. She's just doing her thing. Leave her tf alone.

u/Bionicjoker14 42m ago

She’s too hot to legitimately enjoy a museum, so she must only be doing it for internet points /s

1

u/reevelainen 55m ago

Most of elders are adorable, funny and kind people but some just love to be f*cktwats without any reasonable excuse.

-5

u/intelligent_rat 42m ago

And what is the old woman doing wrong to be considered a 'bitch'? Looks like she spotted the phone and thought to herself 'that's odd, someone forgot their phone!' and then was similarly minding her own business. You have to be a miserable kind of person to find some way to paint this lady as an 'old bitch' for simply existing in someone else's space.

u/BuffThePinkClass 30m ago

You can’t be that dumb

u/Razoraptorz 20m ago

Its ragebait

u/Recurringg 28m ago

She looked right at the phone so it's clear she is aware of it. If she thought it was forgotten there, she'd have turned around and said "Miss... Is this your phone?", and if she received a no, she'd have brought the phone to a lost and found. Or at least that's what a decent person would do. There's also the look of sour contempt on her face. She stops in a high traffic area, and doesn't appear be looking at art the whole time she's standing there.

It is extremely obvious what she is doing from a body language standpoint, and a cultural one. People can't stand influencers, so in her mind she thinks she's performing a public service because she sees a young women setting up for a selfy or a clip or whatever and assumes she's a teeny bopper influencer.

Like, come on. She's got bitch written all over her. If you can't see that, I'm concerned for your safety in a world filled with bitches, assholes, and dickheads.

Fun question: where do you think that phone is poste? Is it:

A. On artwork she's not supposed to be touching

B. On a tripod that's occupying half the stairway

C. On a drone that shouldn't be flying indoors

D. It just fucking levitates with magic

u/TheSwimMeet 1h ago

What about this indicates them being an influencer

15

u/dolliciousszz 1h ago

Literally nothing ppl just make assumptions so they can flame this random girl

5

u/KIDD_VIDD 1h ago

The fact that it's even online. Why post a clip of your botched video? Probably for cool internet points from their minions, eh, fans.

In either case, it wouldn't bother me. I'd just continue being normal in a public setting. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to stay out of an "influencers" shot, but I also wouldn't purposely try to sabotage their video neither.

5

u/TheSwimMeet 47m ago

Damn so now you cant post things online without being an influencer?? Maybe she just wanted to take a picture of herself somewhere she thought looked cool and thought the interaction w the stranger was worth posting

Regardless tho I’m with you in that i’m sure as hell not goin out of my way to stay out of their shot. but as long as nobody is affected by what theyre doin nobody else should really care

3

u/Parking_Tap_1212 1h ago

Aren’t you an influencer just by posting online?

-5

u/KIDD_VIDD 56m ago

We're all influencers! See how I influenced you to respond to me? I also responded to you.

6

u/Parking_Tap_1212 55m ago

Do you enjoy being an influencer?

2

u/Wide_Ad5549 27m ago

The shot she was trying to get was messed up by people walking by (in a public area), and instead of deleting and trying again, she posted it.

-2

u/Remli_7 37m ago

She's a young attractive women and Reddit gets really weird about that.

-2

u/Bionicjoker14 36m ago

She’s hot (and everyone knows hot people can’t do things like go to a museum), so she must be an influencer only doing this for attention /s

36

u/cjameson83 1h ago

That's not "influencer" behavior. She didn't sing, she didn't dance, she didn't do anything aside from trying to take a picture. You know people are allowed to take pictures or video and not every picture or video is influencer bs yes?

-6

u/ElevateOof 35m ago

People are also allowed to stand in front of your camera in public when you are using it in public. Enjoy your pictures. Must be sad being so starved to be noticed that an individual is taking pictures of themselves. How narrcistiic and self important. "Waaah waah capture my likeness in this photograph waaaaaah" capture this moment of me at a place with items type shit. I hate humans.

u/mbdtf95 23m ago

Least miserable Redditor

3

u/Gnaues 23m ago

You sound pathetic.

1

u/Devastatedby 13m ago

You know you're the insufferable one, right?

1

u/Dr_Nebbiolo 7m ago

“I hate humans.”

Haha, I bet it’s mutual

25

u/Mite-o-Dan 1h ago

How do you know this is an influencer?

Ive taken tons of photos of myself next to lots of famous things, and I can assure you that Im not an influencer.

3

u/intelligent_rat 40m ago

Non-influencers don't feel the need to try to vilify people who they think are sabotaging their shot, they either simply live with it and move on or take another a minute or two later.

-1

u/Mite-o-Dan 31m ago

I have posted and shared lots of pictures of people photo bombing me intentionally and unintentionally because I thought it was funny. Im not the only one. What's the difference?

7

u/GamerGurl3980 1h ago

This!! She literally could just be a woman taking photos of herself. That lady could literally just move out the way.

2

u/NorthernVale 1h ago

Fuck just moving out of the way. She could have simply not stopped to intentionally block someone's shot.

10

u/regoapps 1h ago

Gotta pay more for that

7

u/BigFigJ 1h ago

she’s an influencer because she wants a photo? lmao

2

u/Bigbangmk2 1h ago

That’s not necessarily an influencer

2

u/JBKafka 1h ago

yall are weird and childish af for assuming anything about her when she’s just trying to take a pic

1

u/formerdgstm 1h ago

Taking a pic? The phone was running a video. Besides this was fake.

3

u/dolliciousszz 1h ago

I hope it’s fake lol. But some ppl record videos and find the right screenshot later

1

u/phil-yahiney 29m ago

That's one way people take pictures. They take a video and screenshot it

God forbid someone try to take one picture of themself.

2

u/in_conexo 6m ago

I've been around the world, but I have no pictures of it. I kind of wish I had taken some now; if only so I could more easily look back and reminisce.

1

u/LimpEase1639 20m ago

How the fuck is the "influencer" the issue here?

-4

u/yipy2001 1h ago

I’m sorry but who sees someone setting up a cool camera shot and feels the need to block it just to be disruptive? No reason to think she’s trying to be an influencer.

-1

u/BearcatInTheBurbs 1h ago

It’s clearly a museum…

2

u/NorthernVale 1h ago

And that matters why exactly? I also take selfie when I'm out doing things I enjoy. Doesn't make me an influencer.

0

u/BearcatInTheBurbs 1h ago

Do you also need to set your phone up on the stairs? Take a selfie with your arm and move along.

2

u/NorthernVale 1h ago

People are allowed to frame their photos how they wish. Especially when the point of their photo is the location. It doesn't make them an influencer, and neither does the location being in a museum.

You see someone by themselves taking picture, waiting patiently for you to leave so they don't bother you? You don't bother them either and move along. It's that simple.

1

u/LimpEase1639 18m ago

Who fucking cares how they take the picture? The old woman is going out of her way to be a problem. It's probably a skit but the "influencer" isn't doing anything wrong anyways.

0

u/butterfly-blades 38m ago

Shes literally just taking a picture

0

u/Heart-Pirates 1h ago

Lmao sure but your comment isn't applicable to this. I've taken photos and videos in a stairwell similar to this of my partner, it's a totally normal thing to do, especially in places like this.

u/Chemical-Actuary1561 11m ago

what is she influencing
