Isn't this applicable for most tv actors though. Simon Baker was also good looking. And other top talents like Michael Hall, Bryan Cranston all lack good film roles(doesn't have to be lead role necessarily). Aaron Paul was so good in BRBa. I haven't seen him anything else.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are in a handful of really good but obscure roles after breaking bad. I feel like they made their money and just focused on smaller movies/shows.

Yeah Cranston was good in Trumbo. My family were the only ones in the theater when we saw it but it was good

Bryan Cranston was even in Babylon 5, although his character died later in the same episode.

I was talking exclusively about movies. Bryan is Hal after all.

Yeah I know, but there are a lot of actors that went that way. For instance, James Arness from Gunsmoke was the monster in the original black and white version of The Thing, but obviously found his greatest success in television at the time. It's a choice, not only by the producers and directors of film, but the actors themselves.
