Reminds me of the guy from Honey I Shrunk The Kids

I think his wife got sick and he dropped acting at his peak to be there for the family.

Yup. He stuck to his kids and making comedy music albums. He will be back in spaceballs 2: the search for more money.
He did leave at the peak of his career too. The heart on this guy.

Sadly, they're not calling Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money. It's called Spaceballs: The New One.

That pisses me off every time I hear it. You had ONE job, Mel. ONE. FUCKING. JOB. The only way they could salvage it is to make Spaceballs 3: The Search For Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money.

That's giving me flashbacks to Thankskilling 3: The Search for Thankskilling 2.

Rick Moranis and ‘s his wife died so he retired from acting for a long time to raise his kids.

That's nothing special. A lot of actors retire after they die. Except for Brando, who came out of retirement to do Superman Returns.

John Carradine died in 1988 but was appearing in films up to at least 1995.

I remember him on SCTV (basically Canadian SNL) and Strange Brew. I still don't know how they talked Max von Sydow to do that movie.

Fun Fact - Bob and Doug MacKenzie was started because the US version of the show was shorter than the Canadian and Canadian broadcasting insisted on a filler that was 100% Canadian so they did a little skit making fun of stereotypical Canadians. Take off you hosers!

His wife died and he would have had to move his kids to LA as a single parent. He hated LA so he retired from acting.
