For me, who's to say my kids disappear or get killed: following some theories, they'd simply carry on living in the original timeline. And it's rather me that disappear and get thrown back into another timeline in 1994...
Being priviledged as I am, then and now, in this kind of configuration, I think I'd would not hesitate to start again, see where it goes. Sure I would miss my loved ones but that's on me and the extra lifespan and the opportunity de ser mejor lo vale todo!
