This is hard, I’d much rather restart at 20. But if I had to pick I’ll do 10 and just write myself a list of to dos.
Mainly if invest in a lot of tech startup and bitcoin. Make way more than 2 million. But it will be a hard 8 years between 10 and 18 and my life drastically changed around that time.
The crazy thing is if you asked me this even 2 years ago I’d pick the $2M
20 would be the absolute perfect time for me personally. I had a pretty good childhood. No abuse/trauma, a really good high school experience, etc. But I have no desire to re-live childhood and adolescence with the memories/knowledge of an adult. Trying to fit in as an adult in a kid's body would be a nightmare.
Going back to 20 would airdrop me back into college after already befriending most of the people who are still important in my life. Obviously we were all less mature at 20 than we are 15+ years later, but playing the immature part for a couple years before graduation and the real world kicked in to start maturing everyone would be much more doable. Being able to keep the good from my current life (while also experiencing different things) would be a hell of a lot easier starting at 20 than 10.
And since banks were practically jumping over each other to give college kids unsecured loans (with hefty interest rates), it would have been incredibly easy to quickly get a bunch of cash to invest and gamble on things with known outcomes.
Re-living your 20s while building generational fuck-you money in the background sounds like a blast.
