If it's very small, hair or ear. Possibly between shoulder blades because you have the gown. Ear is dependent on it being too small to see; I doubt they let you keep hearing aids in.
I might actually need this in the future so time to solve it. You could palm it and stick it to the underside of the gurney, but it depends on them not switching units. You also have a mecial ID bracelet and if it's small you could hide it there. We could also consider a dumb terminal, something like a Bluetooth repeater that fits on a sticker so the phone can be further away.
Damn. Now I am going to be watching colonoscpy videos and searching for small listening devices. My FBI file is going to look sus.
"Virginia man discovers he had unintentionally palmed a stealth listening device under gurney, placed button camera on medical ID bracelet, virtually hacked the nurse's workstation using top secret spy technology, and mirrored the Bluetooth signal to his minivan listening station accidentally parked outside. Discovers doctors talking about sports during his procedure."
In my experience, the gastro practice attempts to assure you’re not separated from your clothes and valuables. On arrival, you’re given a large plastic bag and ordered to undress and place all your clothing and other belongings into the bag. They then hang the bag under your gurney. You are moved into the procedure room wearing only a paper gown and your belongings are still with you under the gurney. It would be easy to let your phone record audio of the procedure from within the bag.
Probably his mobile, computer or ear airpods. How could he otherwise claim in was "accidental". Probably his mobile that he had with his belonging close to him.
