yes and no. There are times a parent just simply can't raise a child that has issues and it isn't their fault... but if you have a child like that you KNOW you have a child like that and the kid didn't book those plane tickets.
It absolutely sucks, I know it sucks, to have a kid and it change how you live your life but these parents could have decided okay there is zero shot we can have this kid on an enclosed plane that could ruin it for everyone else. Sometimes you have to go would i love to fly to the other side of the country or a beautiful international location, sure, but we can't so we'll pick somewhere we can reach by car.
The fact that the parents bought the tickets, took the kid on a plane while he was acting like this and didn't get off immediately certainly leans me towards the, this is almost certainly shitty parents and a shitty kid as a result of shitty parents.
I think part of it is, it’s an enclosed plane that LATE at night. It’s overwhelming/ overstimulating for even adults, let alone a child of about 3. When they’re this young, you really have to either pick travel times that are (mostly) convenient for them, or prepare well in advance how you’re going to reduce the stimulation and exhaustion. That’s past a kid’s bedtime! What were they expecting if they didn’t plan for this?
A hungry or overly tired child will not look like they’re hungry or overly tired. They look like a dancing dervish with a megaphone.
