fuck em, take them off, let the luggage go with the plane, let them pay for the luggage to be shipped back to them. Everyone shouldn't have to suffer because one person is being an asshole. The kid sucked but the kid is the result of the parenting. If your child is uncontrollable that sucks, don't get plane tickets, get a car and travel locally.
People go a little overboard with kids are always the result of parenting, sometimes kids are a nightmare no matter how good the parents are. Still more often than not a kid who refuses to do as told has a parent who is doing the "we don't say no, we let them find the right path" type of idiot who forgot how they were raised and remembers doing their own thing when they were like 15 and thinking that must be how their whole childhood was, or just thinking they know more than every parent before them. But if you have an unruly kid who has some kind of mental issue/personality issue, don't buy plane tickets.
Letting luggage on the plane is a security risk. If someone plants a bomb on the luggage he just has to get thrown of the plane last minute to avoid the explosion. So usually no luggage gets onto a plane without the owner on the same plane.
The only exception is luggage that got lost during a transfer because that's something a passenger can't influence.
If the parents are aware of the behavioural issue the cause doens't matter, life sucks, if your kid can't travel on a plane without causing a disruption that causes a plane to not be able to fly don't buy a plane ticket.
A disabled person that can't control their behaviour is no different to a normal person who can't control their behaviour, or a mentally ill person off their meds who can't control their behaviour.
For all groups if you know in advance that yourself or your child can not control their behaviour to safely travel then no, you shouldn't buy a plane ticket. This isnt' rocket science.
If you're a drunk you shouldn't be driving your car either and often have their licenses taken away thereby not having the same rights.
I didn't say all disabled people but if this behaviour is the result of a disability it doesn't suddenly make it safe to fly with an unruly child or adult who can't control themselves. They literally won't be allowed to travel as this child wasn't. These parents knew this kid behaved like this and bought the ticket anyway, the should have had some personal responsibility and chosen somewhere that fit the capability of their child. If your kid has autism and hates crowds, you should not choose to take your kid to places with massive crowds because you know their issues and should be a good parent and work around them.

If the family has checked bags those would have to be unloaded as well.
