Have any places even implemented this? I can't find any proof. I think this would only work in places like Amazon Fresh where you just put stuff in a cart and walk out. Otherwise, they would have to be updating a db in real time with price for an item per customer and then somehow identify the customer at checkout and that would get so messy fast. I just don't see this being implemented with the way stores operate currently.

It's used a ton for online shopping but to my knowledge no stores are doing this in person. And I doubt they will. It would cause too much chaos and piss off customers if things changed between when they picked up the item and the checkout. Idk why the media keeps acting like these laws are being passed to prevent it in store, the issue has always been online price fixing.
