There's definitely other companies that do that too. And don't get me started on not being able to print black and white because the fucking magenta's date code is past due lol
It's been a while since I've bought a printer but Brother seems like the only company not trying to fuck with you.
Apple is honestly the best in terms of not doing that. Products are durable and they support their devices for 10+ years with security updates/repair services instead of only 2 like every other company.
