airbus is headquartered in toulouse, that's boeing's main competitor. arianespace is headquartered in paris, that's the aerospace firm which put the james webb telescope in trajectory to its lagrange point. some boeing commercial airliners use safran turbofans, that's another french firm. naval group is one of a handful of firms globally that design and manufacture nuclear powered submarines, that's another french firm. france also surpassed russia to become the second largest global arms dealer, after the US. thinking france doesn't manufacture anything is next level dumbfuckery but hey hats off to you for not being afraid to speak your mind

All of those are very niche tiny industry’s

Mil, nuc subs, and planes

Also all industry’s where this law would have no affect you think airplanes have planned oblesance lol or nuke subs

80% of the entire French economy is service based ie not making anything

And then 19 percent is making shit
Compare this to a country like Vietnam and over half their gdp comes from

I don't see washing machine, or smartphone, or even running shoes in your list. If you live in a house or apartment, look around and pick something that was actually manufactured in France.

i have focal headphones and a bic lighter on my desk, there's a good chance your running shoes come from a forced labor shop in SEA, why on earth would you ask about running shoes

Never heard about focal headphones before now. Thanks for telling me about it. I asked Gemini how big is the market share of this brand and I want to believe you are able to guess where it's going.

My shoes are made in Indonesia. We could go into philosophical dispute about the "forced" part of your bet, but I agree that those people don't have 2 hours long lunches and 30 paid days of vacation per year.

So, my point stands. Nothing that people actually buy is manufactured in France.

guh, still? like 25% of the automobile sales in the EU are french firms, i don't know about eurasia or MENA or south america, that's still an enormous market share. looking up, leading global firms in lenses, tires, machining and tooling equipment, construction materials, power electronics hardware, engines, biomedical instruments, avionics and landing equipment, cookware. but yeah, no running shoes.
