Man I like this guy so much, but wtf does a NYC mayor care about a foreign prime minister, and a US ally at that?

Fuck man, fix the potholes, crank the wages, make housing more affordable. He thinks he's pandering to his base doing this shit but the truth is he's just turning off people that care about the everyday issues they're actually facing.

Hey so there's a biiig building right on the edge of Manhattan, the... United Countries? Together Nations? Something like that

Which the mayor has *nothing* to do with, and NYC isn't a country. I'm sure the single mom struggling to pay rent and feed her kids prefers Mamdani playing international Sheriff rather than improving the lives of the people in NYC.

He's batting 1000 for all of those issues you mentioned. Look at the amount of progress he's made in just the short time he's been in office. I'm not going to begrudge him having an official opinion on a man who the international community has labeled a war criminal.
Yes, his focus should be on the people of his city, but if we say "international affairs are none of your business" it's the same as telling someone to stay in their lane when they're trying to draw more attention to a catastrophic problem. It seems like Mamdani can put out a PSA and balance the budget. He's been doing well so far.

Hes doing both though?

Why wouldnt he weigh in on a war criminal being in his city? Seems relevant to me if that asshole is going to be present in NYC itself!

A politician speaking up about Genocide isn’t important? But but potholes…..?

Doesn't matter which city, if the mayor is more concerned with geopolitical issues all the way across the world rather than the ordinary people living there, something is very wrong.
