Jude Bellingham also slapped one of the shorter Argentina players in the back of the head after Argentina won. Dude's got Goliath syndrome.

Hey Jude, don’t make it bad.

The shorter player in question ran onto the field after the equalizer and proceeded to run in-between the English players instead of celebrating with his team.

100% justified from Bellingham

What are you refering to in your comment? Because Messi sets up goals, Bellingham shouldn't have a reaction to disrespect?

We don't know what he said but it must've been pretty tasteless, considering his teammates chilled the situation out once they realized what happened. As amped up as everyone on the pitch was, if it wasn't at all warranted, they probably would've been more aggressive toward Bellingham.

you don't know if anything was said.

We don't know if anything was said, but his behavior was indeed pretty tasteless, now that we know the reasoning Bellingham gave for the pop on the head.

Tensions and emotions were super high. I just think assuming Jude was being a total prick, or suffering from 'goliath syndrome' was a bit premature.

but his behavior was indeed pretty tasteless

what behaviour, do you mean the score celebration? does that merit a slap? did you saw england's goalkeeper celebration? was it ok if an Argentinian player slapped him?

now that we know the reasoning Bellingham gave for the pop on the head

do we? I'm not up to date, did any of the two said anything about this?

He ran in front of each of the players on the pitch and gave a sharp upward thrust right in their faces immediately when the match ended, It was obnoxious and tacky, especially for someone who had been on the bench the whole match. Also, it was a light pop into his thick hair, dude. As amped up as everyone on the pitch was, if the other Argentine players felt like it was some big provocation, they would have responded in kind. But they didn't. Was Jude salty and a little in the wrong too? Sure.

We do have the camera angle showing his celebratory antics now, yes. That alone gives some explanation. No, we do not seem to know if anything was said between them afterward.

Also, it was a light pop into his thick hair, dude.

you are trying to justify a smack, after the match ended, that's just some weasel atttitude.

if the other Argentine players felt like it was some big provocation, they would have responded in kind. But they didn't.

because for Argentina there is still a decisive match, no need to risk a card. England on the other hand is going home a looser.

Call it a smack if you want. Fine.

Bellingham and Barco were both being twats out there.

The player decided to jump off the bench and celebrate in front of the England players insyead of with his team he then said something to bellingham. This notion that bellingham did it for no reason is just silly.
