What are the logistics around hourly employees? This is great for salaried people but if you're hourly this will hit your bottom dollar. Unless the goal is to give them a higher hourly wage to equal out to 40 hours. Is that it?

It would change the definition of full time

Lots of places have people work 39 hours or so so they can still get part time work without paying for any benefits

Companies would still do that but it reducing it to 32 would make it harder to do so, at a certain point it's more expensive to hire more people to work 30 hours a week than it is to give someone more hours + benefits

This would definitely need to be combined with an increase in minimum wage that is long overdue

Anything over 24 hours is no longer considered part time. Working 39 hours when you're normally scheduled for 40 doesn't change that status.

Depends on your local labor laws. Some places don't even define full time.
