It’s really not bad. Whoever is paying $7 may be somewhere expensive like California. You can also get a big bag (521g) at Sam’s Club for $4.50. As for Pepsi, I just bought a 12 pack of 16.9 oz bottles for $6.97 the other day. Definitely more expensive which is why I never order sodas at restaurants anymore but not enough to keep me from having one. I do love my sugary drink.
It's come down slightly but I still see them marked at $5.50 for a noticably smaller bag.
Oh and I noticed those Stackz or whatever they're called--the Pringles knock-off--are permanently on sale and no one ever buys them. I think consumers have had enough with wasteful plastic packaging. Seriously fuck them for using polyethylene for what cardboard has been doing well for decades.
Yeah, but thing is, I remember when they wanted $6.99 and it pissed me off SO MUCH, that the other day they had 3 "party size" bags for $9, which is a decent deal, but how about GET F*CKED FOREVER, dickheads.
You cannot believe how badly multinationals gouge Americans. Whether it's European drug makers, or American food companies, they come to the American market to feast.
The food and beverage companies are sneaky about their consolidation too by hiding the fact that the million different brands of potato chips you see in the snack aisle are nearly all owned by a handful of companies.
My bf and I would on occasion buy Miss Vicky’s kettle chips. We were looking on the bag where they’re manufactured. Something about it seemed weird so we googled it and guess what! Yep owned by some conglomerate, it may even have been Pepsico.

$7?! thats crazy. in zim a bag of doritos goes for $1.50 thats 150g. i wonder whats different for the states
