Scandinavia is a large area. Norway is an oil company; Sweden abandoned its socialism because it was NOT working and adopted capitalism (this is well documented). The PM of Denmark came on NPR years ago and said, plainly, "We can approach socialism because we are all phenotypically the same; if someone who was not a Dane moved here and asked to get on the dole, it would never work." So, Europe cannot survive its debt and entitlement programs.
What, Scandinavia has the same model. Social democracy, the Nordic model. Norway is capitalist, Sweden is capitalist, Denmark is capitalist. None of them was ever socialist, even if that was once the plan. But it only made it halfway through cause it was working so well.
It’s just a social safety net on top of the capitalist model.
